Fun place to take your kids. The slide was open the entire time we were there this time! The bathroom ( women's bathroom) doesn't get checked very often, so no toilet paper or anything to wipe off the water from the swimmers.
Best pool around and there's a decent sauna and hot tub. Most of the people are nice, respectful, and great to have a conversation with, but there are some odd ducks there also. Some appear to come from the local transient population and bring some mental health problems that can make for a disturbing experience in the hot tub and sauna area.
My son loved the water slide and I loved the sauna
There are a lot of options here, shallow pool, 12 foot deep pool with short diving board, separate area for lap swimming, and even an indoor water slide. There's also a small dry sauna and a hot tub outside on the private patio. I enjoy the basketball hoop in the deep end. I do not enjoy the hot tub, it's a strange design and not hot or large enough. If you want a good hot tub go to Healthsport Arcata.
This could be a really nice pool but the people running it have created at atmosphere that is not family friendly. It is structured to be a senior center pool. Children can not hold on the shoulders of parent in pool. Children can't go outside on patio until 18, even with parent. Children can only swim in shallow end for only a few hours a day, otherwise its for adults only. Deep end entry must pass a lap swim test to enter. Children must be 16 to practice lap swimming in a lap lane. My ten y/o son just finished swim school and they would not allow him to exercise with me. It costs 18+ dollars to sit in a 5 ft pool kiddie section of the pool with my two kids and noodles. The life guards are paid almost minimum wage. This is essentially a great place for seniors. One would think being near a high school that there would be more families paying to enjoy recreational fun but its also next to a graveyard. I think the seniors have taken over the planning committee and are running the pool as a basic lap pool or place to rest ones aging soul.
Amazing so fun I l over the divingbord
They say it's open so I drive an hour and 45 minutes just to be told they have parties or training. They tell me to wait and so I do until the time they've told me that the pool is open. I come back and it turns out they're busy again and now my day is all gone. This is not the first time this has happened. I also speak for the Arcata community who are also upset. I ask that you explain well on your posters what time it is for the community and what time it is for training and party reservations. So that I do not waste gasoline, and my time just so that I come back home frustrated.
Most of the staff is absolutely great. The pool is huge and chilly, which is great for swimming but cold for young ones. Many swim available for little ones with excellent instructors. I do wish people were more modest in this area however, its uncomfortable for some children to be around open nudity in locker rooms, especially when it lingers on and on. Seems clean and has a water slide and hot tub with sauna area.
I really appreciated the opportunity to immerse myself in this 200 hour yoga teacher training. It provided an opportunity to disconnect from work and dive into the content. The yoga instruction and approach of this training was exactly what I hoped f
Perfect place for lunch! The best food. The best homemade tortillas! Wow! Yum! Burritos are huge! They are awesome if you have special orders (like no dairy). My order is always perfect!
Our airbnb host recommended this place because we asked for local food spots and he delivered! We love creperies and this place was the bee's knees. My fiance got the artichoke heart-filled "Got Yer Goat" and I got "Amber Rose." Mine was a safe choic
The cutest ice cream shop I have ever been in! They have an incredible table that's on a swing. You can sit at it with up to four adults and enjoy your ice cream while swinging! They also have the sweet single carousel ride for youngsters. Local phot
We were in the redwoods for over a week up here in Humboldt county and this was the first place we came because itâs so easily accessible from the street! So glad we did! A great way to start being blown away by giant trees and get in a hike withou
