Great little hike for a family. Short, and trails can get muddy after rain. Beautiful area but you will drive through a neighborhood to arrive, so it can seem like you're going the wrong way, but Google Maps directions are accurate.
The Arcadia Mill Site in Milton represents the first and largest Early American water-powered industrial complex in Florida. This was a multi-faceted operation with various mills, shops, a mule-drawn railroad, and a sixteen-mile log flume.

It's a very nice walk. The boardwalk needs some maintenance attention and the nature trail is getting a bit overgrown. But with that said, I do plan to visit there again soon.
(I did not get to the museum or indoor displays.)
I didn't realize this fun cultural and historic site was nearby in the Pensacola/Milton/Pace area. The entry fee is $5 or $6 for adults and $3 for children under 18, I believe, and includes access to the museum and the homestead site. You can visit the walking trails and outdoor areas for free, but for the first visit, I definitely recommend checking out the paid areas.
It was fun and interesting to learn about the early history of the settlers in this area! It's definitely worth visiting. Just keep in mind the hours of the museum and visitor center if you plan to visit.
Nice little secret nature walk that is close to home. Great place to clear your head and stop and look at nature.
A good place to explore. There are some loose and rotted boards on the raised walk path. Also, some screws have worked loose, so be aware. If you go off the raised walk path, the path has lots of roots, pine needles, and sand. Suggest wearing at a minimum tennis shoes.
Great little hike, you can gather a lot of knowledge reading the signage. Watch you step both on the boardwalk and trail.
such a beautiful and quiet trail with lots of history. the museum was awesome, great for kids.

One of the many great places Milton has to offer especially for your children. A newly renovated park for the kids to play and cool off. You can reserve one of the picnic tables for family functions. Fish off the pier. Its also a great place to walk
