Great experience at the Aquarium of the Bay! Will also say: the staff was very welcoming and also explained how to handle the fish in the public pool. You can seriously touch a ray fish there, and also some sea anemones. Staff would explain a bit of the science behind some of these creatures. I couldn't see an octopus because I was unlucky and they were small and hiding in their rocks, but I've seen many beautiful sharks, jellyfish, and much more.

Much smaller than I anticipated. I have been to much better aquariums. What made it worth while, is the shark tunnel. They have two tunnels and it was a new experience for us. It did seem very out dated. Very dull, one color and I wish it was more colorful. It still was a good experience. As for the rest of it, it wasn't much and we paid more for photos at the end than a ticket to get in. We went with someone who loved aquariums and this was a dream for her, so she really enjoyed it. As for our family, we would not go again. There isn't enough to make it worth the money once you have seen the tunnels. The outside and seal lion statues make it seem like it has been updated, and it has in some areas, but the tunnels seem like they have been untouched forever and they really need the updating. They need more for the money. However, if you enjoy aquariums and haven't seen under water tunnels before, then it would be worth it.

We went to Aquarium of the bay on Pier 39 on a wet, rainy day. Staff was great. The exhibits they had were small, but cool. There's not a lot to really see. The shark tunnel was ok. We go to a lot of aquariums. This one rates pretty low on the list. Especially when it costs just under a hundred bucks for two adults and one kid!

I don’t know about my opinion to be sure. It was kind of nice, but expensive for what you’re seeing. A squirrel is placed in a small glass cage and you are done watching in less than a hour. The walkable aquariums are amazing and a lot of fishes can be seen here. It’s cool to see, but I would spend my dollars somewhere else next time.

It was a fun experience for my little one but they don’t have enough space for little ones to play and interact. It was a small aquarium fun to do for once but might not be coming back. Not worth the long drive to see.

This is a small aquarium compared to the Academy of Science but I liked the location and the ability to touch the sting rays or the sea life. The fan favorite is usually the jellyfish. There was a tour guide robot too. It was so cool to listen to what it said and follow it. This location is right at Pier 39. Before or after checking out the Aquarium, you can go to the Fisherman's Wharf Shops and Restaurants. It's also a nice stroll to see the locks, the bridge and water views and the sea lions. There's fewer sea lions now and it doesn't smell like it used to but I only saw a couple.

Some cool fish to see. There’s a section where you can touch sting rays, anemones, sea cucumbers, starfish, etc. which is pretty cool. Kind of a small aquarium (completed it in about 1.5 hours) but still neat to see. Probably geared more towards kids than adults. Great deal with the CityPass!

Oh boy this place was amazing. We don't have places like this back home. The self check in ticket booth was simple. Bring your phone and have it handy or you can pay the front desk. We seen a lot of great things here. Super fun place. Great for kids. It has an elevator so great for anyone with a disability. Or you can take the stairs. The line wasn't anything when we went. Right on the pier. They open at 11am I believe. We will be back to bring our kiddos. Fun adventure for sure that added a lot to my photo album.
