5 stars only because you can’t rate any higher. We had a Christmas party at our home catered by the Aquarium Lounge. Erica, the owner put the entire menu together for us and WOW! The food was better than any party or event that I’ve ever attended. Everyone that attended raved about the menu and food. The staff Troy, Quint and Amanda were stellar. They came in, had a plan an executed. Their business is food and its second to absolutely no one. Their service and staff…exceptional! I just can’t say enough good about them. Not only did they have everything set up beautifully. They took care of every detail. They even took pics for us, everyone absolutely loved them. Also, you couldn’t even tell that they were in our home after they left. They cleaned every space they were in, took out the trash as it accumulated and put everything back in place that had been moved. Every little detail was spot on. They didn’t miss one single thing. We will always use the Aquarium for all future parties and get togethers. Thank you Erica and team for making our first Christmas party one to remember!
Easy reservation accessibility. Wonderful customer service from hostess/server throughout the entire meal. Homemade bread loaf was delicious 😋. House salads were divine. My partner's chicken alfredo was great. As someone who lived outside Baltimore for 61 years and knows outstanding Maryland crab cakes, I was disappointed in the 2 that I experienced for dinner. No offer of broiled or fried; quite small for the price; and much more filler than crab meat. But the homemade blackberry cobbler put a positive ending on the meal.
Do NOT order off their ON-LINE menu or you'll be in for a HUGE surprise when you pick up your order! The prices are about 33% HIGHER at restaurant than the prices listed on line! Luckily the bartender saw we were contemplating leaving, so he took 20% off the bill. Food was good but definitely too high for the quality. To the owners, Very disappointed you have all the time in the world and you can't update your on-line prices. Thank your bartender...
Aquarium has always been known for quality food, great ambience and impeccable customer service. I was very disappointed to find out things have changed First of all, the menu in the website does not match the menu in the restaurant. For example the 9 oz fillet mignon is $40 in website and MP at the restaurant. The price of our fillet was $53. I understand the rise in price today but they need to update the website or I am thinking this is done on purpose. We ordered a bottle of wine. It was served in the wrong glasses. So we asked to our waitress to have the wine glasses. She answered they were all dirty…. They were going to wash them. So she took our glasses with the wine already poured in from the table, we were concerned because we did not want her to mix them up, but she assured us she knew who they belonged to. About the waitresses… So they are vaping in the back and I can totally see them. How professional is that you are vaping in the restaurant in front of the customer? We also ordered Seafood Linguine, well first of all, as an Italian, I disagree on searing the fish and mixing it at the end with the cheesy sauce. The sauce should have been cooked all together so that the flavors blend. Then at the end, sauté it with the pasta. It was a big portion, so I ended up asking for a box and I finished it the day after at home. While I was chewing, I bit something hard, it was a small stone (I still have it). I understand that this can happen when you order fish, but as one of my friends who has a restaurant says, I clean the fish one by one… Again for the type of restaurant Aquarium Lounge is, you guys need to check the shell fish one by one. We also ordered the crabcakes. Way too spicy, you cannot taste the fish. Fish is delicate, you cannot overpower the taste. I am very worried and disappointed on the direction this restaurant has taken. It was the only decent restaurant in town, Anymore, if you want to have a fine dining experience you have to go to Morgantown.
Amazing dinner tonight at Aquarium Lounge. The ribeye steak was the perfect temperature, scalloped potatoes so creamy and well- seasoned, spinach salad - mmmm. Amanda topped off the night wonderfully good at her job, friendly, and fun.
My ribeye was not a ribeye or if it was you couldn’t tell because it was so thin…..thin ribeye you say? Yea that’s what I thought. Of course, asked for medium rare but then it had no sear. Unacceptable for “fine dining”. This place has unbelievably bad food for the prices. The soups were the best part of our meals. Everything else you could get better pretty much anywhere else. I would recommend not wasting your money here. Our server was really, really nice!
Overall we had great main dishes. The French Onion soup for the day was extremely over seasoned (oregano we think) to the point we couldn’t eat it. I’ve had it one other time and it was really good. Steaks and sides were so good and cooked to temp as we ordered them. The service by the long haired man who was working the lounge area was terrible. Personality wise and also his service. Kind of killed a nice evening out with our family who was visiting from out of town. He was busy, yes- but he sure had time for his friends who he was serving.
Not a single aquarium in sight. Place is built like a maze. Good pepper though.
