One of the better places to stay conveniently located in central Waikiki. Walking distances to shopping, dinning, and beaches. Rooms are nice and come with kitchens where cooking your own meals are an option. There is a balcony that has a view. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. There’s a pool, recreation center, sauna, gas barbecue area, and laundry area.
Be very prepared for cockroaches here. I know due to the weather, you will encounter cockroaches in Hawaii, but this hotel had perhaps the worst infestation I had ever seen. We counted over 50 cockroaches during our stay. Every time you turned the bathroom light on, you can see 4-5 of them in all sizes scurrying away. Some of them are bold and just sit around in the sink. We contacted the hotel and they sent someone to come up and look and concluded nothing could be done. Room was also very poor quality with very dirty carpet and poor bathroom.
DISGUSTING!!!|We left after 10 min. |The rooms are not like in the pictures and it was dirty I was about to start vomiting. |I have to say the staff the were great, they understood that I wanted to find a different place to stay, I appreciate that. |But please do not waste your money or your time coming here, I’ve never seen a place as nasty as this.
I was a solo traveller looking for a decent place to stay. This property was the third spot I stayed at during my trip in Oahu. The bed and bathroom were clean but there were two issues with the room: (1) the room was full of small cockroaches wandering around which made it hard to feel comfortable to sleep or leave luggages around, and (2) the kitchen counter was not thoroughly cleaned and had sticky substance leftover. I was stay at this property for a day before flying back home. Highly recommend looking into other airbnb or hotel options with similar pricing.
Night 1:
1. Bugs, small roaches in our room
2. Holes in the curtains
3. Lanai door doesn’t open (that’s not scary at all)
4. Confusing elevator systems, so many elevators but also so many signs that they go to different things I.e. pool, parking, etc.
5. (my biggest problem) is the in room coffee maker doesn’t work. I need my coffee!!
6. Oh yeah, no valet or free parking here. Between $25-$35 daily for parking.
7. Smelled cigarette smoke all night long
Nights 2-4 (different room from night 1)
1. HUGE roach!!! Think B52!
2. Drapes are holey.
3. Tub is old and cracked and feels like I’m going to fall through it to the floor below. And it’s dirty.
4. Towels have black stains on them
5. No kitchen sink in this room, but bathroom sink is made to function as kitchen sink.
6. Finally figuring out the confusing elevator system. New hotel guests look as confused as I felt in the beginning of this stay.
7. Employees located near elevators are grumpy and unhelpful.
8. If you want to use the bathroom or luggage cart in lobby, be prepared to surrender your ID until you return bathroom key or luggage cart.
9. While fridge is bigger, no freezer.
10. Looks like blood in bathroom wall. Ew!
I loved my accommodation at this hotel and even got an upgrade from my original booking. I had a one bedroom suite on the corner of the building with fabulous views of both Diamond Head and across the Canal looking at the golf course. It was very windy during my stay which I could hear howling through the edges of the windows and sliding glass door opening onto the balcony, which overlooked the swimming pool on the 6th floor. There was some construction happening down the hall from my room but nothing too disruptive. The staff were very friendly and helpful when needed. I highly recommend this hotel!
Work in progress. We booked this hotel primarily for location close to beach. Also the price was in our budget. We found that there are opportunities that need addressing. Although there are no smoking signs throughout hallway in building- we could smell cigarette and marijuana emanating from inside hallways and not out in patio. We called front desk and was directed to security- who promptly responded that we only enforce non smoking policy with hotel guests and not with Air BNB guests.
I don’t quite fully understand this legal stance they have.
