Aqua Palms Waikiki - Hotel in Honolulu - 1850 Ala Moana Blvd, USA

Rooms were organized and somewhat clean: smelled a bit musty/smoky. Bathroom is tiny. The sliding door to balcony needed work on the security lock. Hotel signage is awful cause u can't see it amongst all the surrounding lights. Couldn't find the hotel with Google maps as it lead us in a circle. Definitely needs better directions or an update. However the Front desk service was great! They were extremely quick and very helpful and welcoming. They need a raise for dealing with all walks of life. Cost is okay but those cleaning and resort fees sure do add up.

This is our second time staying at the Aqua Palms. The hotel is always clean and the staff is always friendly. Our room had two queen beds and a small kitchenette with a the sink, microwave, and small refrigerator and an amazing view of Diamondhead and the ocean. The location of the hotel is perfect. It’s a quick walk to Ala Moana and Ward Center, as well as the Waikiki strip. The only thing I am not a huge fan of is the parking garage. It’s a steep climb to enter and it gives me anxiety, but there is plenty of off-site parking around the hotel. The aqua palms will be our go-to hotel for future visits. Mahalo for an amazing stay.

I am giving this hotel a 5 star review. It's an older hotel showing some obvious signs of wear and tear but the experience met/exceeded my expectations. So although it's not a true fancy 5 star location, I am giving it my top marks because I was happy with my stay here. The price and location was why I booked this hotel. It's just one block off the beach and a convenient area. The service was top notch and staff was super friendly. I would return in the future.

This is a nice place to stay with good access to all attractions. The staff is very helpful and gracious. While not a luxury hotel, the room was very spacious and nicely arranged. This was a return stay for us, ten years later,

Room quality could be better due to AC unit not properly working. When asked for a resolution I would have to reopen the sliding glass window to reactivate the AC unit. The room could never cool down to a cool and reasonable temperature through out the day and night.

Location was good, Hotel staff was really friendly and for a 3 night stay here it wasn't too bad but I'm not sure we would consider this hotel again. Booked two rooms, shortly after check-in one room had a live cockroach in the drawer. The staff was kind enough to switch us rooms but it did make us weary for the rest of our stay. Rooms were nicely updated with comfortable beds but the couches and carpets were quite outdated and stained.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We visited for 4 nights. We had a room on the 6th floor. The room suffered a little from the noise from loud vehicles on the street but there was no noise from any adjoining room or from other floors. The beds were comfortable and both twin beds had 4 pillows. The room has a safe, microwave, iron and small fridge/freezer which were all really useful. We were able to get clean beach towels from reception each day. The location was good for access to Waikiki beach and there were plenty of shops nearby too. Parking was $35 a night which seemed pretty steep and we only rented a car for 1 day so didn't need to use this. The pool was warm but small and with kids we felt a bit awkward as the pool is right outside of other guests rooms so we were worried about noise!! Overall a very pleasant stay and we would use the hotel again.

To be in the mix without the big bucks, this is a great spot. Humble but clean and very friendly staff. We stayed on 2 different occasions over the holidays. The pool has a fun view above the street. Perfect for walking around downtown.
