She is so friendly, professional, knowledgeable, goes above & beyond in helped me in getting jobs that have been amazing & always takes in consideration to work assignments that are near to me. If I ever need help with anything she is always available & gets back to me in a timely manner. After 26 years of loyalty to my former employer, with the economy and inflation raging, the unthinkable happened. The company where I spent most of my life suddenly closed. I found myself in a scary place. Depressed, deflated, disillusioned and frankly, like a loser. I’ve worked my whole life, and this situation is not one I have ever been in. After months of searching for work on job sites and rejection after rejection, I met Vicky from the Downey branch. I applied on a job site for a position she was hiring for internally and she gave me a chance and reached out to me to interview. I instantly connected with her. She was such an encouraging, calming and positive voice that I needed at the time. A week or so later, she reached out again to schedule me for a second interview, in person at the Downey branch. I met Megan, Vicky’s admin who is one of the sweetest and friendliest people you will ever meet, and they both began to interview me in their conference room. I knew that this was a place that I wanted to work at if given the opportunity. I wanted to help people in some way, people who find themselves in a situation like me, scared and jobless. I wanted to help give people hope again. At this point, Vicky did something that was so selfless and totally surprising to me. She called in her assistant branch manager, Vanessa “Ness” and said to me that they have a client who they think I would be a perfect fit for. Vicky and Vanessa selflessly and humbly put my own interests, wants and needs above their own and began to tell me about this opportunity with a wonderful client of theirs. Although I knew I was a very strong candidate to join their team as I was there for a second interview, they knew I wanted and needed stability given my background and years of experience and offered to submit me to this client for an open position they had. The next day Ness reached out to me and told me that their client wanted to interview me. I accepted and a couple days later I went to the interview. After the interview and once I got home, I gave Ness a call as requested, and she asked me how it went and how I think I did. I proceeded to give her the details and how I think I did well and so on when she suddenly said that they wanted me to start. I literally thought she was joking and even asked her, “Are you serious?” I mean I was just there no more than 2 hours ago for an interview, so this was very surprising to me. Ness assured me she was serious and offered me the job. She told me that she knew I was a perfect fit, she knew that I was exactly what they were looking for, she knew that I was going to do great, and she knew that I belonged there. I was told by both Vicky and Ness that they wanted me to join their team at the Downey branch but as I said, they selflessly put my interests above their own and opened the door to this new and stable opportunity for me which they knew I needed. I stand here today feeling like myself again. Vicky and Ness gave me hope, they gave me my smile back, they gave me my life back, they got me an amazing job. These ladies are angels. They truly cared about me and my best interest. They went above and beyond to help me during this very difficult and challenging time in my life. I simply can’t put into words how much they did for me and how thankful and appreciative I am for them and their services. Both Vicky and Ness are some of the most caring, kind, friendly, and warm people I’ve ever met. They’ve changed my life for the better. I will forever be grateful for what they did for me. These ladies are true professionals, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about them. They are like family, and I highly encourage anyone in a situation such as mine to give them a call at the Downey branch. They do not disappoint.
