Applebee's Grill + Bar - Restaurant in Renton - 375 S Grady Way, USA

All of the food was cold. Also not cooked as we ordered. The server was extremely rude rolling her eyes. When I said my steak was under cooked she replied " we don't have thermometers". Which is insane in a food service establishment. When we asked for a manager we waited fifteen minutes and asked again. The server said I told the manager he'll come when he comes. Juan the manager walks up timid and unsure. Asked what the problem was. No apologies nothing. I told him the food was cold and asked him to please touch it. He refused. Replying it's unsanitary. Worst service ever. I will be talking to the manager tomorrow. Which nobody knows what time he'll be in. Never knew customer service has came to this. Thanks for food delivery services. Our server Julia S. was awesome, and did a great job serving. The manager, Candace I., however, was very rude and condescending when we asked for an explanation about their free appetizer offer. We qualified for a free appetizer (see the attached photo) and ordered one, only to find out that the free offer (in extremely small fine print) was only good on your next visit AFTER we had eaten the food. We asked to see the manager to find out if she could offer a discount or something because of the misunderstanding, but instead, she lectured us on the content of the fine print of the offer. She made us feel like we were stupid, and acted as if we were imposing on her time, wrapping up her interaction with us by stating that she would get right on it, and "...tell corporate to reprint the table cards for all 400 of their locations". Not a very professional attitude, to say the least, and I would expect more from a management representative of Applebee's.

Sometimes it makes more sense to sit down in a restaurant and let people serve you... Especially when it's cheaper than fast food in Seattle! Earlier in the day we had 2 sandwiches and drinks and actually spent more. Not a bad deal! And I didn't have to bus my own table!

Decent food and We options. Bar and seating are comfortable and wait to be seated is good. The atmosphere is of an old sports bar. We go there occasionally.

This place has always been my go to happy hour for quick cheap grub. The chicken wings are my favorite although it is no longer part of the HH. Service is always quick and friendly. Will keep coming back.

Had a nice little date with my partner here. The food was good and customer service was great. Drinks for this season were on point.

Our server was new. (Said at the time was 1 week in) she did her job okay. (Assuming new to that kind of work so in time she'll get better) I ordered the endless wings and had the manager immediately come over to tell me they aren't too be shared. I then asked why? She said "just isn't allowed" I followed up with where does it say that? She said "They didn't think they'd have to put it on writing" with a condescending tone. I said okay. Then say said "I'll be watching the refills" and proceeded to roll her eyes and walk away. A little later the manager went to my server and started to talk badly about me calling me stupid and other inappropriate things then started to degrade the waiter saying she's not doing her job right. All of this was within eat shoot of me so I heard all of it. Through the meal the manager was giving vial looks at me and the others at my table. It took 45 minutes for the wings to come out. 30 for 2 of the 3 dishes to come out then my dish came out 10 minutes after that. The wings were hard and drenched in the honey BBQ sauce. Definitely not worth the $12.99. The broccoli always comes out cold. We asked for more wings and got more sauce then had to ask again for the wings not the sauce. (It was not loud. Maybe half full at 6-8 pm) the steak was cooked to mid-rare as asked. The hamburgers (2) one was drenched in soy sauce and BBQ sauce (mine). The second was seasoned well. Both burgers were very greasy though. I'm 50 50 on if I'd recommend the burgers. Both cooked to mid-rare as requested. So the cook they had that night knows what they are doing. After my meal I talked with another manager and found out that by the body language none of the servers or male manager like the female manager due to the fact she talks bad about the customers in front of them and belittles and degrades the servers. Over all the experience was okay. The food was cooked great just not seasoned to my liking. The servers are good at their job and even under the pressure of bad managers they preform well.

It was an unpleasant experience today, I came with my wife for her birthday, I wanted to have a nice time and have the detail of singing her birthday in the company of the staff, but it was not possible, I was a little disappointed with the service, the food acceptable, but not a very pleasant experience. Sometimes we can't generalize people and we must focus on service, be it race, religion, skin color and where we come from. There will always be reasons to offer the customer a pleasant time.
