Applebee's Grill + Bar - Restaurant in Dover - 909 N Dupont Hwy, USA

Not really busy got the all u can eat the waitress came over twice to ask me if I needed anything but she did bring me my food when it came out the food was good but the service could have been better but there's always the brownie bite is just that what the picture shows isn't what u get it's a two bite brownie with 1 tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream

My cousin and I stopped in Dover for the night. We visited this Applebee’s at approximately 9pm and we’re immediately seated. Our waiter was courteous, and attentive. We ordered our appetizer and our half-price margaritas. We asked for waters they came first. Then our appetizer came. And then our meal came. But no margaritas.our waiter kept apologizing for the delay and they would be along soon! I’m really not sure what happen with the bartender but our server did apologize For us not receiving them and they were removed from our bill obviously. I do realize that good staff are hard to find these days, but you might want to consider a different bartender. He was more concerned about his tips with his bar customers that he was with any of the other customers.

I walked into the restaurant and I could feel my blood sugar declining rapidly. I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. My server Adar recognized my blood sugar was dropping and immediately grabbed juice for me. She started to explain the process and even different methods to check my blood sugar without finger pricking. I have an apt scheduled with my doctor, but who knew in one random trip for lunch I could learn so much from a compassionate person. By the time she served the food I was already feeling better. Thank you Adar!!! You have no idea what that meant to me.

My friend and I were waiting to be seated for about 5 minutes. We were ignored the entire time. Then, a party of six came in and the hostess immediately greeted them and started taking care of them. They did not bother asking if we were there first.

A little pricy but the food is delicious. Nice atmosphere and we had a great server. Always checked on us but not so much as to be annoying. Food didn't take very long but it WAS a Tuesday night. Reasonably priced drinks (check out the $7 dollar menu), and new honey pepper wings are amazing. SIDENOTE: We didn't eat everything in the pictures, just planned to take stuff home for leftover lunches.

I had two drinks, one alcoholic and one not; which was lemonade. I did not drink the lemonade and I only had about a sip left the of drink. I asked for a Togo cup for my lemonade, my waiters energy shifted when I asked for a cup and she clearified that it was for my lemonade. That alone made me assume that I was not allow to take my drink out with me. So, my waiter then brings me a Togo cup filled with lemonade. I drink the rest of my drink and since there was fruit left over, I decided to take the fruit with me, so I placed them in my Togo cup. A while later the manager comes to my table and starts a conversation completely disrespectful. She says “I saw you pour your drink in the Togo cup and I know because I saw you do it on the cameras.” Firstly im very confused because I did not pour anything into my cup. So I tell her I did not and that I have my fruit and that’s it. she continues to make me out to be a liar. The conversation goes on and she’s continuously being rude to me, and that this point I’m still trying to explain that I did not know. Then the conversation ends. As someone who has been in a manager position, I would have never spoken to a customer the way she spoke to me. After paying my bill I requested for her to come back so we could have a conversation. I told her how I did not feel that it was necessary for her to come at me hostile. Especially for something I did not know and that nobody informed me of. There is no sign that says it, and this is my first time buying a drink, how am I supposed to know? This time she was not rude and she tried to say that she was not trying to come at me hostile and explain that their policy is strict, but I do not care about how strict the policy is, this is about how you speak to people. She simply could have informed me of the policy and I would have followed it. I felt as though she only spoke to me this way because I am young and she thought she was putting me in my place. Even though the situation is over and I told her how I felt, it still does not still well with me.

We love Applebees here in Dover. We are avid visitors. At our most recent visit. We were met with a very dry host. She caught a attitude because we would rather sit in a booth. We sat down and were greeted with Katelyn S. our server. Katelyn was also very dry you could tell they are upset with there job. She took our drinks. Then returned 3 mins later with drinks and took our orders. Her facial expressions and breathing was a bit immature. I was with two kids and my wife. Any who she took our order. We realized she never offered a perfect margarita so when she returned we let her know. She tried to tell me otherwise and i just asked for a manager. My wife spilled her drink and it stayed on the floor for 20 mins while countless servers and the host just walked around it. So i grabbed a broom and dustpan that was laying against a nearby table which is unsanitary. I swept up the debris and continued back to my seat. The manager came out, you can tell he thought we just wanted the mozzarella sticks. He was a joke. He did give us a coupon but he was very dry. Truth be told I’m lactose intolerant. But I earned that. But people need better attitudes about there jobs and managers need more professionalism about the workplace they manage. This wont be our last visit. But I refuse to be dealt with any other way. Only with respect. Furthermore the food always exceeds expectations and the drinks are never flat

Worked with Applebee's for 5 years as a BOH certified training when I lived in Philadelphia years ago. I just wanted my favorite that I used to make for customers back than. I was hungry and wanted the off from cooking so I visited the Camden Applebee's and Order or least tried to order myself a med well steak with shrimp and rice, it came out bloody (rare medium) I intentionally handed the skillet with the steak and shrimp on it with plain instructions how to fix my steak 2 min on each side. My food was brought back by someone else 15 minutes later with the shrimp missing and when I inquire to the same manager about the whereabouts of the shrimps, sad he accused me of eating off the shrimp and wanted free shrimp... My dinner appetite was ruined by then even though a female manager came out with my shrimp while I was being accused by the other manager. Where do they get these airheaded inexperienced beings from to lead or manage anyone? I still love the bees maybe not this one ever again smdh
