My dad and I would come here to share some food and a conversation. This is a decent space for that. Need some better options for an old guy, like making it special for people who need help. It is a decent place to visit when my dad was younger. I wouldn’t go there again as my dad is older and can’t visit. He walks on a walker. But those days are special. He is the best guy out there. The best.
Terrible experience with the food today. Ordered the artichoke dip, chicken tenders, ribs and wings. The chips were greasy and hard, the tenders were cooked too much, my grandson wouldn't eat them. The Rib dinner was to go and lucky I checked the bag as the Cole slaw was missing. I also thought you could pick two sides with it but was told it came with Cole slaw. I won't be going back for quite a while. Service was slow. Not sure what the holdup was but there was many empty booths and tables and people coming in had 30-60 minute wait. We were lucky and arrived before whatever was going on.
We were there last night, Sept. 17, between 5:30 and 6:30pm. Our waitress, Amanda was a great waitress. She was very sweet and accommodating. She deserves a high five!
My order was wrong, not the waitresses fault. BBQ rib tips had no BBQ sauce. Ordered potatoes, got broccoli. Waitress was great and super funny waitress .
We ate here about a moth ago and it was the best Applebee's we have ever had anywhere. Had to return this evening so we ate it again and we were completely disappointed. My husband's burger was super pink, we ordered the classic combo platter and the quesadillawas super hard and my most favorite thing the spinach artichoke dip was disgusting no artichoke in it no cheese on top almost tasted like it came from a jar... we ordered to go again like last time as we live almost an hour away so we tend to order what we can eat driving and didn't feel like turning around. Do better Applebee's.
The waiter was training, when repeating our order back he got it wrong. Didn't come to check if we wanted more coffee. Had to wave him down ( he was just standing at the wait staff station) to ask for our bill. Not a good trainer I would say.
When they aren't even packed and you are waiting 25 minutes to get offered a drink.. while about 4 different groups walked in and got served along with orders taken who have come in AFTER we did. Horrible Service. Ended up leaving as we still had to waiter/waitresses.
Came here from Chicago, and this Applebee's puts shame on those restaurants . Great experience

Great park with free parking. Hung out for awhile, finding shady picnic tables about. Lots of activities and kids enjoying themselves. We especially liked the ice cream and slowing us to try a taste before buying a cup! Delicious!!
Very very very fun. Took my 3 kids here 7-12. They all enjoyed it very much. I (39, 230lbs) climbed up it and slid down the slide but decided not to go back up. It was a lot of fun. Didn't see many ladders. The park is really beautiful. Great vi
Best burrito within 100 miles! The chili chocolate cake, layered with pistachio cheesecake, is absolutely incredible! If you want to try the cake, be sure to stop by earlier in the day as it's not unusual for them to run out in the evening!
The skatepark is very nice. The pavilion at the park is great for picnics. There are also coin operated showers that are open during summer and early fall. These are great if you are camping in the area.

This is one of the three visitor centers for Isle Royale and the only one not on the island. If you find yourself waiting for a boat or plane, this is a great place to burn some time and plan your trip so that you don't need to spend much time island
Got an idea to come here from a Pure Michigan article. Perfect beach to go for sunset. Sand is dark tiny stones. Water gets deep very quickly. You can have a walk on the wave breaker. Many people come here to make fires on the beach in the evenings.
