Applebee's Grill + Bar - Restaurant in Rexburg - 975 University Blvd, USA

For a mid range restaurant, this Applebee's excelled in all areas. Our server, JJ, was stellar. Food was good. Everything was made to order. We had a large group of 12 at 11am.

First time dining in at Applebee’s, my husband and I had a fairly pleasant experience! It was during lunch, and it was not too busy. We beat the crowd and came before it starts getting busier. Our server is very kind and keeps checking in on us. She helped with answering questions about the menu. As for the food, the fish and chips are the best! The fish is very adequately salted and is crispy. The fries are still hot and crispy as well, though I think it can be a little less salty. I got the Four Cheese Penne with Honey Pepper Tenders. I think it was ok. I wished the cheese flavor was stronger. It feels almost quite bland to me. The bread was good. However, I have to say the chicken tenders were delicious! It’s sweet, and I wish they sell a separate dish with just the honey tenders. As for the dessert; Triple Chocolate Meltdown was very yummy! It’s very sweet, but the ice cream kind of balanced it out, which is great! It also came out hot, so that’s great as well. Will definitely come back again because it’s the best fish and chips I’ve had in Rexburg!

I LOVE Applebee's! My fave is always the boneless buffalo wings! Today I also had the 6 oz steak with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The broccoli was overcooked and so was the steak. I ordered medium and it came out well done. The manager came over and saw my well done steak and immediately went back to get me another one. The second one came back perfect with better broccoli and still amazing mashed potatoes! I love that they didn't give me a hard time because I don't like being that person who sends her food back, but I was really looking forward to a juicy steak!

Frustrating experience when we brought a party of 3 to dine in. We all got the unlimited wings deal. Took them about 30ish minutes each time to bring out wings (we ordered about 2-3 times each). Completely drenched in sauce and with usually only 4 boneless wings each order. It was really frustrating to waste time there, and our server was all over the place (understandably because he had about 5 tables) The photo I attached was the amount of sauce poured onto the little bites of overrated chicken nuggets. Not impressed.

I had forgotten why I don’t go to Applebee’s. Now I remember. Our server was nice although she did get one item incorrectly made. But she quickly had that fixed. This was a family affair, and so I’ll let you know how everyone felt. My teen boys thought the burger was greasy. They did like the fries. The Oreo shake did not taste very much like Oreos. I had the chicken quesadilla salad. It was very salty and had way too much dressing on it. My husband had the Mexican shrimp bowl. He liked it. Overall, I have to remember not to come here again.

Applebees is always a safe place for good food. Server Trista was great and friendly a true asset to the restaurant. Sorry if it looks like a half eaten burger, but it was so good I had to post a review. Ultimate cheese burger.

So this was our first time going to this restaurant and this is how the experience went... We were seated by Aubrey and then our server Hannah came to take our order... We ordered the 2 for $28 with the spinach artichoke dip. My wife had the amazing chicken dish and ordered the bourbon burger with some add ons. The kids had the cheeseburgers and fries and our little man had the chicken strips meal. I waited patiently for this delicious burger with added cheddar and sauteed mushrooms to arrive and when it did...well total disappointment... The burger was burnt and no cheddar,no mushrooms and no waffle fries. Our sever brought the right fries after a some time...but overall the experience at this point had been frustrating... Aubrey "Not our server" took care of our table and went above and beyond helping out ... They offered to re make the burger and bring fresh fries I said " ok" Here comes Hannah again with a bowl of the wrong fries ... At this point I say " cancel the burger please" Well they remade it took it to go and it was delivered to my table by Tony... He apologized for the mishap and discounted my bill due to the error... The integrity shown by Tony and the great service by Aubrey is the only reason that I'm giving 5 stars on service 😎

Friendly staff, great food! I used to think Texas Roadhouse had the best steak but Applebee's has better steak in my opinion! Great flavor and no spots were difficult to chew through. I also love their mashed potatoes and my kid does too!
