Applebee's Grill + Bar - Restaurant in Lewiston - 2235 Thain Grd, USA

I don't want anymore gift cards to Applebee's. Last night, both my wife and I were tired and not feeling the greatest, so rather than cook, we decided to have Applebee's carside to go. The main reason we chose Applebee's is because friends and family always seem to get me gift cards for Christmas, birthdays, etc. Anyway, we ordered the 2 for special even though price keeps going up and quality doesn't. 2 bacon cheeseburgers, baked potatoes, sour cream etc, and my wife loves the spinach artichoke dip. Waited the half hour, went to pick it up, only to be met outside by an attendant who claimed they called us to tell us they were out of baked potatoes. (Not sure who they called, wasn't us.) Anyhow, they substituted fries instead, and we said that was fine, but when we got home it was less fries than a small fry at McDonald's. And they were cold. I kept smelling something weird, kind of like a propane smell. I ate half my burger, a few of the fries, and my stomach started hurting, so I stopped. Both my wife and I have been in the restroom multiple times today with cramps and I woke up with a severe sore throat. Can I be 100% certain this is due to Applebee's, maybe not, but I'm certain it played a part. It was a less than satisfying meal, and wasn't completely what we ordered. I don't want anymore gift cards to Applebee's because I've watched the service here take a huge tumble in the last couple years, and frankly I'd rather have cash so I can at least go get the stuff to make a sandwich myself. My last review was about a year ago, not exactly the same but this place has taken a nose dive. Eat somewhere else.

Thanks for taking care of us last week. I got the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp. There was just enough kick not too much . The dish was delicious !

Great food, amazing food, surprised me, our server was absolutely amazing, she was super sweet, and seemed quite engaged, service was good. Definitely coming back more often

Staff was very friendly but the food was underwhelming - not bad… just not good. We had a party of six people who collectively agreed we would probably not be returning, largely due to the fact that we started feeling I’ll shortly after eating. We didn’t end up with food poisoning, but we weren’t feeling good for the rest of the night. As for the food specifically: I got a quesadilla burger and fries, hot Cheeto curds (not sure the exact name), and strawberry lemonade (that wasn’t good) followed by the limited flavor Mountain Dew (which was good). The fries were the best part of the meal. The curds were good until they started to cool, though the presentation kind of looked like someone dumped the remnants of an old bag of Cheetos in the bowl (see the attached picture).

Honestly, life has been rough lately. I’ve never been in a low in life like this low. I’ve been to tons of restaurants but nothing can compare to this experience. Not only was our food absolutely delicious with an amazing atmosphere… Our waiter, Leah is an amazing individual. She dealt with me and 9 of my friends on top of that for our all you can eat wings. She was always so polite and respectful. Even if we weren’t the best customers, she put up with all 10 of us. She was awesome, outstanding, and the best part… brave. She was a brave individual. If I were her, I wouldn’t want to deal with us. If you ever come to this restaurant, ask for Leah to be your waiter. She is outstanding. I wish her the best in life.

This place was better than expected. It was one of only a few places open late, and we had a group so we decided to give it a try. The food was much better than I’ve experienced at other Applebee’s, plus the service was excellent! The young man waited on our table of 6 quickly and friendly.

Waited over an hour for our food. When we received it the potatoes had a crust on them and the steak was cooked well done (ordered medium).

Restaurant was clean. Waitress was very good. Disappointed in the food. Had the 3 cheese chicken penne. Noodles were way over cooked to the point they were mush.
