Apple Valley Inn Pigeon Forge - Motel in Pigeon Forge - 117 Pinoak View Dr, USA

Apple Valley Inn was a perfect family based hotel. So clean, always smells wonderful. Breakfast options were nice. Room was spacious, bed and pillows were comfortable. We liked being on first floor with our little patio on the ground , which led to a larger patio area. Staying there again in October!!!!

We checked in here because the hotel we booked first on Trivago said they were pet friendly. Turned out they were not. But we asked to see this room before we moved all our stuff in. The room smelled terrible. The sheets were stained and the shower curtain I'm the bathroom. Looked like it had mold on it. I went back up to the office to cancel our reservation. The dedk clerk wanted to show us another room. We had seen enough. I have asthma and there is no way I would stay here.

Showed up for check in. Nobody was in office, stood outside for a few minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We was then rudely told by employee that all the rooms were dirty (at 3pm) and they were waiting for housekeeping to show up. We went down the street and stayed at Hampton Inn instead.

This is the worst I ever see...1 night with a stained sheet bed look as if it was slept on before i got there .....u need better room Attendants ur service is 0....if u ppl think am lying I have a video to show, this room looks as if it wasn't cleaned after the last checkout.....was a waste of money

For what is in the heart of pigeon forge I expected a shanty hotel to be somewhat decent. They advertised coffee maker in room, but they don’t have one in room just at the front. They advertised “pet friendly $20 but more if larger animal” so that ended up being $25 per pet per night. They advertised “100% smoke free rooms” and our a/c unit is pouring out cigarette smoke smells. Keep your shoes on, the floors are disgusting. The room we stayed in wasn’t carpeted, some kind of laminate. There were stains under the bed that they didn’t clean, the floor trim was disgusting and covered in black dust and grime. The caulking around sink and in showers is black. Keep in mind mini-fridge has no freezer. The sheets/pillows barely looked clean. There is no room service so you have to go to the front to ask for towels etc. Overall if I had known what to expect maybe I wouldn’t have been so shocked and grossed out when we got here.

For a last minute selection, this was nice. Clean room, minimal to complain about. Check in was easy. Would stay again or recommend.

This is the first time I’d ever been catfished - and it was by a business. The pictures of this place make it look gorgeous, inviting, clean & a great place to stay. Pictures are deceiving!! The woman at the front desk was the ONLY good thing about this place. She was friendly and attentive. We were given a ground floor room at first. It was like stepping back in time! My fiancé literally cried as the realization of the mistake we made settled in. There was a jacuzzi in the middle of the room that looked as if they had glued pieces together and it hadn’t been cleaned since 1995. The bed sheets were stained - and not JUST stained but tie-dyed with dirt and body fluids. The bed had 2 pillows and the sheet had cigarette burns in it. The latch on the door was completely missing! Not even broken but MISSING! We called the front desk - and the woman working changed our room to another room in a different section of the place. When we opened the door, the smell of Indian food that had been basking in the heat for what smelled like 4 months slapped us in the face like Will Smith did to Chris Rock. The room was dirty and the sheets looked as if someone either broke in and took a nap, or staff needed to take breather. I wouldn’t stay here if I was paid to. The only nice thing about this place was the staff at the front desk. We spent less than 15 minutes here before realizing we were catfished. Thank goodness we were able to find another reputable hotel nearby - or we would have been driving through the night to go back home. This place needs MAJOR renovations and a sterilization from top to bottom. Location is great - but it looks like it could serve as the set for a scary movie or documentary.

We booked this hotel because of the price you get what you pay for right? Well for driving 7hrs to Tennessee we figured it would be nice regardless because of the area an all the travel that comes through. We walked into our room we had a bad smell of mold “we found black mold in cracks an was starting to come out on the floor” we also noticed the floor was not clean food behind the bed we found a s*x toy in the room right beside the bed. “We had not unpacked anything yet because we were checking out the room” the floors were black we had no towls or anything in the room the bed sheets were not clean it smelled very sweaty like they have been used already. We was very disappointed in this hotel. And then we found blood all over the back of the curtains an some on the wall. That drew the line for us. So we came down talked to the lady she seemed shocked an gave us a refund back an then ended up charging my card again with ended up being almost $1000.00 dollars in total taken out of my bank due to a big amount we had not choose to head home the next day because our funds were taken out they said 3 to 5 business days for the full amount to be returned. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
