Apple Hostels of Philadelphia - Featured Reviews (1051)
Best deal in town. Staff is great, esp the early shift gentleman my three days there. Common area has a great decor and vibe. Room was fine. Bathrooms and shower areas ok, could use a deeper cleaning. A big plus is that there as an iron in the hall. Overall it’s an upscale hostel, and fun to stay in…. I already have 4 times before!!!!!
It was beyond my expectations! I had never been to a hostel and Apple Hostels was just the best choice! I like the fact that it is very diverse, clean and comfortable. There is access to public transportation and there are a lot of food options around. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who is looking for affordable accommodation.
Really nice hostel! One of the best in the countries. I mean the kitchen and the restroom were always clean. You have activities every night of the week like free drinks, free beer or ghost tour. The people are really nice. I had a really good experience.
Great spot in the city. Close to public transport and walkable to lots of places as well eg. Megabus bus depot (20min walk). Clean, spacious rooms. Bathrooms great. Nuce vibe. Helpful staff. Stored bags and able to stay in the lounge on last day.
Before I give my opinion on the hostel I would like to address Aranka directly… not only was your write up of the establishment completely and utterly dishonest, you seemingly have a pattern of leaving bad reviews, as 4 of the 5 you’ve posted are also 1⭐️
Based solely on your words, I’m fairly confident you didn’t get your way at some point, probably being told you couldn’t eat upstairs, so you decided to disparage this business. You seemingly have a problem following directions, because if you had there would be no possibility of your food going missing or being discarded. As for the atmosphere/landscape of Bank Street, why would you lie and say there are nefarious people loitering? The only way you saw a syringe is if you dropped it… bank street is not an alley, there are million dollar townhouses on the street as well as loft apartment buildings and some small businesses. The hostel is extremely clean, and remains that way by not allowing food and drinks into the dorm areas. The staff is friendly and if you return for another stay, they remember your name and make you feel welcome. The prices are very fair and cheap, which is why you have to put your own sheets on the bed to help keep the costs down. Manage your expectations is the best advice I can give if you’re thinking of staying here. It’s safe, clean, affordable, accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly staff, complimentary beer and food are offered daily. If you want turn down service and breakfast in bed, go to the 4seasons. Otherwise book some time at the hostel and you’ll more than likely meet some new friends, and you’ll 💯 % have a wonderful experience.
First impressions matter, and my initial interaction with the staff was unimpressive. Some employees were extremely rude. I left an honest review of my experience and received a reply suggesting I could leave whenever I wanted. Although I won't be returning, Janis was a definite bright spot. She earned a five-star rating for her impressive service. Her professionalism and customer service were greatly appreciated. She was approachable, efficient, and punctual, a hallmark of excellent staff. Rest of the staff should take notes.
Walk down a trash filled alley to hostel. Great staff. Very clean but guests are not.Be prepared for constant loud LOUD music in showers, toilets and common areas.I was in a room of 6 bunks with a bunk mate that smelled so bad I couldn’t go near the bed. The snoring and phone alerts from 6am - 9am were a bonus. Housekeeping great but inmates left kitchen and bathrooms a mess. Great showers. Thin mattresses on beds.
Overall, not worth it for me. Checked out after 1 night and shelled out for hotel.
One of the best hostels I’ve ever been! I’ve met a bunch of new people and had a lot of fun. They have a social programm every night, for example pub crawl. They have a great billiard table, too. |I actually loved the neighborhood - the old city of Philadelphia.
A unique hotel with history and a very nice decor to enhance any stay while traveling. We stayed there for a couple days during the New Year's Holiday and had a wonderful experience. Great location in the middle of the city, safe and close to everyth
Coffee here was amazing! The iced latte was great! The black coffee was something else! So fruity and aromatic - truly a great experience! Very much recommended getting their beans too!
A must stop if you are in Philly!!! Kevin's creations are incredibly delicious. Put down the cheese steak and go grab some tasty vegan, gf and dairy free options. Dessert=a meal. Back-to-back visits made us super fans!!! Pls open up a place in J-
Joined on a student membership for the summer and really enjoyed my experience. All the trainers were highly knowledgeable (and incredibly athletic) and made sure everyone felt welcome in the gym. When I was dealing with a shoulder injury, they were
