We've spent many great days in this national park. Our last visit was special though because we had some trouble with a boat motor. As we were putting our boat in the water officer Doug drove up and we had a really good conversation. Really nice guy, was able to answer all my questions, and just seemed to be a person doing his job very well. While talking to him I actually felt relieved that we had met him, and I would soon find out why. We put the boat out on the water with my son in it and he took off and started fishing. After about 2 hours I got a call from him saying that the trolling motor on his kayak kept cutting off. He had a paddle and he knew where he was and was sending me GPS locations. The big problem was that he was in between boat launches on the mosquito lagoon side. And the park was closing within an hour. I knew that he was not going to be able to get to a boat launch if the motor had completely failed and I did not know what to do if we got locked in the park. So I called 911 and spoke to an amazing operator who gave me a phone number and took down all our information in case he got stranded after dark. Yes he has safety lights, a headlamp, and a safety flag with a strobe. You also have plenty of water and I really wasn't worried about his safety at this point. Well within about 15 minutes of speaking with 911 officer Doug showed up. I was relieved because my son was slowly getting to the boat pull out, but officer Doug showed me one that was a lot closer than what we had planned. My son showed up about 3 minutes before closing and we had to load the boat and go pick up another vehicle all the way at the end of the park. Officer Doug waited on us and let us out at the park entrance. EVERYONE we spoke with were some of the nicest, most patient, and professional people I've ever worked with. I won't lie, I was a little bit worried and felt a little bit alone trying to get my son back in. But the way we were helped with the situation was amazing, and I just want to thank everyone very much. The boat is repaired now... poorly designed electrical quick release that has been replaced. We went out again yesterday and all was well.

With luck you see turtles. I recommend visiting the wooden trail right after the entry ranger house on your right. It's called turtle something.

Another fantastic park in Florida! You can go walking on really well-maintained trails and on board walks to the turtle mound, or park and go to the beach where there’s not many people.

We were on vacation at New Symrna Beach and decided to visit this park. We had an awesome time and the kids loved it. Not an overcrowded beach which is what we were looking for. Definitely plan to visit again. As others have already me tinned, parking lot 5 is the nude beach (not any area I'd take my kids to). The ONLY down side is that there are NO showers at the parking area except the first parking lot but other than that......AWESOME Beach!

Love the wildlife. In Volusia county Florida, where the road ends at a Ranger fee booth you enter Canaveral national Seahorse park. Where on the seashore lies dunes that thousands of sea turtles come to play their eggs each summer. You can also see manatees, dolphins and water birds like the Least Tern that run up and down the shoreline finding food in the wash of the ocean waves. See the ghost crabs if you Can. Walk the shoreline and if you find something special wash up in your life. I found a Carob tree seed, very rare to find. I know you will love to see the Apollo beach at Canaveral national Seahorse.

Beautiful and wonderful park! Definetly check out the turn off and this small but pretty cool museum.

Nice quiet beach. Not many people. There is a clothing optional area at the very end. No shower to rinse off. Limited parking.

So delicious! The beignets were pillowy pockets, hot, fresh and covered in powdered sugar. The waffles were fluffy and great flavor. Everyone enjoyed their meal and it’s a great local atmosphere!

Healthy, fresh, well prepared food with vegan options. Not a good place for your typical burger-and-fries American diet. My favorite was the nachos Maria, which is kind of like a combination of nachos and salad. You can add tofu or chicken for extra

Wow this beach was really nice. Accessible from downtown Orlando. Visitors can park their car on the sand. Water was extremely pure. Seawaves are enough for surfing. And I met cute turtles by coincidence!!
