A group of friends came here to celebrate a birthday with a private dinner in the formal dining room and to stay the night. We had a wonderful time! Rooms - be careful which you choose, not all have a standard shower. We made do with the tub and spay hose in ours, no big deal. Gas fireplace was nice and bed comfy! Our group had 4 of the 6 rooms in the carriage house and we spent some time in the public parlor there, which was nice. Dinner - we got moved from our original reservation, but they were very accommodating and I think we ended up in the perfect place for our group - the formal dining room. This is the afternoon tea room they convert - they have an nice spread for tea. Food was amazing!!! Drinks were fantastic! Our server seemed newer there and admitted they were slightly understaffed that night. My laid back group didn't mind the slightly slower service or couple minor hiccups, but since all patrons aren't so laid back, I let the service stars reflect the actuality of the situation that night.

i was SO looking forward to this stay! i have so many friends that have been, i researched all the rooms, and in the end everything just kinda fell flat. it was a good stay, not great. i was surprised, the day of, when i tried calling the hotel several times to see if they had an ironing board in the room, but no one ever picked up. when i arrived i could see why....the hotel clerks just hit a button on the phone in front of me while the phones rang, i'm assuming sending them to voicemail. verbal directions given to us for our room/building were spotty, and the paper map given to us was not drawn to scale.||our room was clean and spacious, but did not match the website description. website for sleigh room says there is only a shower, but (surprise) it also has a tub with jets. fireplace works, but you are supplied with only 2 pieces of wood in the fireplace and 2 extra small logs on the side. your split of champagne is there when you arrive, but there's no ice in the bucket. oh you wanted it chilled? also, my bath water never got hot. and of course the coffee maker was there but not enough coffee provided. we were able to call the bellhop for reinforcements, but all of this should have been taken care of before arrival. ||the bed was comfortable, and while we were attached to another room next to us, we had quiet neighbors and were able to sleep at night. for the price paid, it isn't worth it. there are so many other places to go.

This is truly a 5 out of 5 hotel. It's a gem hidden in an unsuspecting town. The rooms were so clean and so unique, and the staff is all so friendly and accommodating. Also, the grounds are BEAUTIFUL! Could visit any month of the year and have a delicious meal, beautiful views, and a comfy room to return to each night.

The house was decorated beautifully for Christmas, the service was amazing (James) and the savory food was so, so good. However, this is our 3rd visit in 14 months where the desserts have not been good. The tiramisu was dry and the gingerbread was way too sweet. They used to do a tasty tray of assorted desserts which was really nice. It's such a shame to end such a lovely experience on a disappointing note. I hope they can improve that component because everything else was phenomenal.

I got married at Antrim in October 2023. It was absolutely stunning! The trees were just beginning to change colors, and all the flowers were still in bloom. The garden was beautiful- very Alice in Wonderland-esque. The staff was amazing, too. Jill was our wedding coordinator. She certainly had her hands full with our group, but did it with such grace and patience. We also loved working with Richie! He helped empty our cars and set up the whole wedding, along with packing everything back up at the end. He was somehow always there when we needed an extra hand! We loved walking the ground and checking out all of our friends and families houses! Highly recommend getting married here!

Went there for an evening wedding reception the first week of January 2024. The place was beautiful and the food was excellent. The only disappointing thing was that it had snowed that day (3-4 inches) and became bitterly cold. The driveway and steps to the mansion were loaded with ice and snow. Everyone had boots on, and we were still slipping and sliding. Also, the wallway from the mansion (where we had cocktails) to the actual building where the dinner and dancing took place, was also packed with snow and ice. Everyone was holding onto each other, slipping and sliding. If you're a business hosting an event, you need to make sure the grounds of the event are as safe as possible, even if it means having staff shovel again, right before the event happens. It was definitely a liability hazard. For the amount of $$$ this reception cost, I would have thought the Antrim would have done better.

We had our wedding at Antrim 1844 in August and it was absolutely perfect! The venue was a great size for our wedding which was ~110 people. We toured the venue in the fall and when we showed up for our wedding weekend everyone was blown away by the beautiful flowers and grounds. The mansion is absolutely stunning and made for some beautiful staging & getting ready photos. The bridesmaids used the lower level of the Birnie House for getting ready, which turned out to be such a good decision and it was the perfect start to a fairytale of a day. Lastly, we stayed at the venue at the Ice House the night after our wedding to celebrate alone and it was magical. The little pool and our dinner experience was so unique. We will be back for all of our anniversaries! Thank you for making our day so magical and perfect Antrim!

My fiancée and I got engaged here! We spent just one night. This hotel is such a delight. The grounds are huge and beautiful. The hotel is so special and unique, love the decor so much. There’s a cozy plush little bar. Everyone is so nice. The room is amazing. And the value was outstanding! It’s in a tiny town and you need a car. It’s a good base for orchards and autumn leaves and the Catoctin mountains. The restaurant has a 6-course meal for $90. A simple but great breakfast 8:30-10am is included. Coffee and muffins at 7:30!
