Antojitos Guatemaltecos - Restaurant in El Cerrito - 11252 San Pablo Ave, USA

We decided to try this amazing new place! @antojitos___guatemaltecos is a family owned restaurant in El Cerrito. They have been there a little over a year. It didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious. It’s clean, service is great, and friendly. We had garnachas, Guatemalan chile relleno, side of macaroni salad, fresh made tortillas and of course atol de elote. We will be back for sure. We had a request for the Chef, Shucos!!! Go and try it, que chilero!!!!

You can literally taste the culture in the food, no place like it. The noodles and the pollo campero are to die for 🙌🙌🙌

I really recommend the food at this place, really yummy and excellent service. I really enjoyed the dobladas de carne very delicious. .Also the chipilin tamales and my kids love their breakfast sandwiches.

Went here a couple weeks ago, really good food, very reasonable prices for the quality. I’ve never had Guatemalan food, this was delicious. Had the rice tamale, desayuno chapin (with pork sausage), garnachas, and empanadas. Had enough to feed me and my parents for breakfast/lunch and even had left overs after. Rice tamale reminded me of Chinese rice tamale, flavorful and savory. Garnachas had a crunch to them (mini toasted tortilla underneath) and with the meat and pickled vegetables in each bite, it gave so much satisfaction. Empanadas we’re on point. The desayuno chapin (breakfast) came with eggs, pork sausage, beans and there was something else but I forgot. Pork sausage was incredible. Also had Elote hot drink. Sweet corn hot drink that reminded me of Chinese Red bean soup (sweet). Very good especially on rainy day. Highlights: high quality food, you can taste the ingredients, so much love and care put into cooking and presentation. Service was great as well! Food came out on time and she even provided a box to carry my food in. Definitely going back again when I’m in the area. Thank you!!

Tamales were how do the French put it, 'exquisite', wholesome place

really great little place with kind and friendly service. my favorites are the rice tamales and their fried chicken is excellent, but you can't really go wrong with any of the tamales options. parking is easy, street parking readily available and they also have their own small lot as well
