Came down to visit friends and had breakfast here. Everything was absolutely amazing. The bourbon pancakes and pumpkin waffle was so delicious. The blueberry lemonade mimosa was my favorite. Will definitely visit again when we come back.
I was expecting a lot more from this place. Food quality is not great. Eggs were not good, potatoes fried, overheated and dry. Service was reasonable. The outside terrace is nice to enjoy the breeze on a cool day. Inside, the place looks old and tired. Not going back, there are better options in the area.
I was excited after the beignets but then I got the smoked salmon Benedict- wouldn't call it a Benedict since it didn't have hollandaise (it's a bagel and lox with a poached egg on top). in fact it didn't have any sauce until the fourth bite when I got a mouthful of cream cheese- they only put it in the middle. anyways on the second one I took the whole thing apart to spread the cream cheese even though if I wanted to make my own bagel and lox I could've done it at home. it was still dry as hell and so were the potatoes. a little disappointing
So I will start by saying the food is average breakfast food. The bill was $50 for eggs, bacon, and 2 pancakes for two people, the fruit is a substitute for potatoes. It took 10 minutes after walking here 2 miles before anybody came to our table (because I had to ask one of the many employees standing there if they could find us a waitress after a full 10 minutes passed) while five employees sat at the hostess podium. All that was needed was just a water, the most basic thing for a patron. On top of that every refill of iced coffee cost over three dollars and they give you a little ball jar filled to the top with ice so you get less than an actual half cup of ice coffee. This one star review comes because the service was literally some of the worst I’ve experienced in Boca Raton. I don’t mind paying for way over priced food but to throw in horrible service makes it a very unpleasant experience. I can continue but I hate when I am forced to do bad reviews. I usually only do a review if it’s really good or if it’s really bad. I will repeat, if I do a bad review, it has to be truly bad service.
The food was pretty decent except for the side of potatoes and grits! Absolutely no flavor , seasoning, salt , pepper NOTHING! I was shocked they actually served that bc it was laughable. The other items were good!
Another outstanding breakfast in east Boca, Tito Bloody Mary and loaded shrimp and grits for me and the wife rolled with lobster and Brie omelette. The shrimp and grits where smooth and creamy and loaded with flavor from the bacon and sausage. The Brie and lobster was on point with sweet lobster bits and rich Brie to start off the day. Excellent service from Jose and great flavor on a well portioned plate. Definitely worth checking out.
We arrived at 9 am and were the only ones outside the seating area. Our server, "Andrea" brought our drinks but seemed unhappy. When we were ready to order, she said she'd be back, but then took orders from other tables who arrived later. Even after reminding her, she mentioned being short staffed in whihc we totally understand . While we don't mind waiting, Andrea's demeanor, especially after serving others who came later , left us feeling she was rude. What's also odd is that when she served the drinks, she placed it on our table but wanted my wife would get the coffee she ordered of her hand. Same thing with food. She placed the food on our table and reminded my kids that the plate was hot, but wanted my wife to get the food she ordered off her hand. What if the plate was hot, in which she just told us that, but wants my wife to get her plate of food. It seems like "Andrea" was having a bad day, and we all do. But I don't think she was nice to us. The food was decent, but the service could be improved.
Excellent option for my gluten free diet. Felt very safe. It was a little pricey but I was also in a pricey area of town so I was expecting that. Zero wait on a Saturday at 1130am
