Annie Laura's Kitchen - Soul food restaurant in Riverdale - 6814 GA-85, USA

I ordered a ribs dinner with pork collards and mac n cheese and the turkey wings in a mushroom gravy with rice, stuffing and lima beans. The ribs were delicious! I mean finger licking good! The bbq sauce was excellent and the ribs were tender. The greens and mac n cheese were good, but they needed something extra to take it to the next level. The turkey was well seasoned, but the mushroom gravy I could tell came from a can and nothing extra was added to elevate the gravy. If using a canned product, it can always be jazzed up to elevate the food, and if that happened with the turkey, this would have been next level. The lima beans and stuffing were solid. All in all, solid food but can be even better with a few special touches.

The food was so delicious… I had the dressing, baked chicken, and Mac and cheese… My daughter had the kids wings, Mac and cheese and collard greens (their kids plate are huge). It was worth the drive. They need to go and give John’s Fine Foods some pointers because baby!!!!

Very irritated. Where is the rest of my food. I don’t know whether to blame them or the Uber driver because they never pick up the phone. I ordered 4 meals and this is what I get delivered to me on a good Sunday and my kids had a taste for Annie Laura’s. Should have got my butt up and cooked…lol

I usually rave about Annie Laura's and have been coming here for years. But on Thursday 9/7/2023 I purchased the worst tasting food from them.....the gravy on the turkey wings was white like it had just came out the can. The yams tasted just like canned yams. In the picture I attached I added hot sauce to the greens but yeah that my plate from Anna Laura's. I am very disappointed.

Went through the drive through on a Sunday a few weeks ago. This is the first time in a few years since I’ve been. Got there just before opening time and the line was already wrapped around the building. To me, that was a good sign that the food is still good. I was happy to see that there was a young lady taking orders from each car as you wait in line; that made everything run efficiently and smoothly. I was able to get my food to go in around 30 minutes which is amazing considering the number of people already in line at the drive through in front of me. I ordered three dinners—fried chicken wings, smothered pork chops, turkey and dressing, Mac and cheese, greens, yams, rice and gravy, cornbread and peach cobbler. Everything was delicious and as I remember it from years ago. I will definitely return in the near future.

I cannot complain about the $5.00 Kids Veggie Plates - they are filling with the added benefit of offering a healthier option over many fast food meals, but I am definitely not happy being assessed a 20% service charge just for ordering 6 or more plates! And you boldly want a minimum 15% tip per order to boot, with anywhere from a 30 - 90 minute wait in line after ordering your food before you get it!?! My tipping etiquette is that I generally base it on the service received. 15% may be reasonable for waitstaff at a sit-down restaurant, but your establishment is still not offering such service post-COVID. Asking for a 15% minimum on takeout with the ridiculous wait time in line at your establishment is unreasonable, in my opinion.

No hype here… thought the food can’t be this good to wait in a long line wrapped around the building!! I was so very WRONG! If you in or around Riverdale, Airport, Fayette and Clayton County you must stop by. May have some the best Soul Food in town. Deliciously fried Catfish, pork chops, well seasoned veggies, and great portions. Stayed in line over 30 minutes. No one left. Be prepared to wait…. For the deliciousness of well prepared dishes! Don’t forget dessert. And as always, Don’t forget to tip!!!

I have been eating here for one year now. The food is good, but a little high in salt....especially the gravy. Prices are reasonable. I love how they use the Chick-fil-a method and walk up to your car to take your order when the drive-through line is long. However, I wish they would open back up the inside for ordering so the drive-through line is not out to the road. Good ole southern cooking. The building (inside & out) definitely needs remodeling and should be appealing to the eyes. I hope they improve in this area very soon.
