Animas Brewing Company - Brewery in Durango - 1560 E 2nd Ave, USA

The vibe is cool for a small town. If you are in to local beers this is a place for you. We had the peanut salad which was good but it needs some acid to elevate the flavor. The clam chowder is unique. It’s thick and not too thin, just different. Would be a fun place with a group of people. Service was attentive.

Good spot to have a beer while visiting Durango. Easy walk along the Animas River Trail back to the hotel.

Came from Cali and had a great time at this brewery! C3PA Pale Ale and the Kolsch did me good. Great service from Courtney. Bar had a great vibe and just steps to the river, train and green belt.

First time caller, long time fan. The food, beer, atmosphere and service are all spectacular!

This was a nice experience. Food was average. The river chips were a bit burnt (or maybe that is how they are supposed to be for locals) but portions were good. I had a stout beer and it was very good too. We were a group of 11 and i realized that in general restaurants in Durango are not prepared for large groups because we kept getting stared at. There were dividers for protection but a bit pointless. O well! Overall an average experience.

Had the wit, black and the brown - all awesome. Tons of malt in the black, very enjoyable. The Animas sandwich was a little more crispy than I usually encounter, but still tasty. Kids slammed the pizzadilla and pita pizza. Not sure who left the super bowl trophy here, but it looks good in the brew house.

We ate here this evening and the hostess was extremely rude. We had our mother in law with us who has allergies and asked if they used MSG in their food and they said “we don’t think so” and she said I get very sick I need to know for sure. The girl rolled her eyes and walked off. The food was extremely greasy and with terrible service I honestly don’t recommend going here unless you just want a beer.

Went in to grab a bite and although we did not try their beer I will say the food is not good at all, service was poor, and just a bad experience overall. I asked for a side of ranch at the counter and overheard the cook and waitress talking about my family and I, “what do they think this is a soup kitchen” he said. As if people do not ask for ranch all the time. Will not be returning and would not recommend to anyone.
