Angel Oak Park - Park in Johns Island - 3688 Angel Oak Rd, USA

A tree that has been here since before our nation was formed. The angel tree belonged to the indigenous tribes and changed hands several times before the city bought it. It is now a tourist attraction for everyone who comes to Charleston. It is definitely worth the visit. It was here before us and it will likely be here after us.

The Angel Oak tree was an amazing sight. It is one of God's beautiful creations. The tree is massive. The secrets and stories this tree holds is unimaginable. A must see when in Charleston SC.

This is an enormous incredible tree. It has very dusty walkways so be sure to wear appropriate shoes. Also off a gravel road, but it is a beautiful area.

To see the Magestic Beauty of this tree was well worth the drive over from I-95. If she could talk, oh the history she could tell. Walking under her massive arching limbs, you feel small.

A really neat landmark in the Charleston area. A dirt road leads to a widened parking lot. There is a fence surrounding the park. There is also a small welcome building near the tree. It can be busy and crowded making it difficult to get pictures without other guests to the tree.

The park is a short distance down a dirt road and I was in total awe seeing this amazing beautiful tree. The folks that run the park and gift shop were very friendly. Dogs are not allowed at the tree but do have a roped off area to the side where they can go . There is no fee to enter the park.

Absolutely amazing!! I am in awe at the beauty of this tree!!! Completely magnificent!! I think everyone should personally see this tree at least once in their lives!!

This was a gorgeous and historic old oak tree. Exceedingly large and quite a sight to behold. Honestly, it’s kind of a one and done type of thing as once you’ve seen it and all its glory there’s really no need to see it again. That being said, it should definitely be a bucket, list item, and to think of the history That that tree had seen. Large open air area where you’re free to roam. However, you can’t get too close to the tree to protect it.
