We recently stayed a couple of nights at Anchuca Mansion in Mississippi, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the owners and staff made us feel incredibly welcome and at home. Their hospitality was unmatched, and they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with charming decor and comfortable accommodations that made our stay truly relaxing. The highlight, however, was the food. Every meal was a culinary delight, showcasing a perfect blend of flavors and freshness that left us thoroughly impressed. This has been a relaxing vacation and we owe it all to the wonderful people at Anchuca Mansion. We can't wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

Frequently journeying between Texas and Georgia, I'm always looking for safe, comfortable and service oriented accommodations. Imagine finding this treasure! This historic B&B embodies beauty, heritage, and refinement. Vicksburg, like all Southern cities, has its contradictions and paradoxes. But this place balances the history and redemption of so many of Mississippi's homes. On arrival, I was greeted with curtious and warm hellos. The restaurant has classic and unique selections. Pimento cheese grits for the win! Staying in the pet friendly carriage house, I was able to enjoy the restoration of a Southern treasure with modern conveniences. The bed was comfortable with luxurious linens. (One of the best nights of sleep I've had in a while) There is a pool in the back courtyard for the warm Mississippi weather. And don't forget to enjoy coffee and tea in the cozy library. The breakfast of fresh fruit, quiche , bacon and biscuits was accompanied by a telling of the home's unique past and preservation. The coffee with a touch of cinnamon was perfect. We were then given the opportunity to tour the place and soak in the grandeur of the architecture, rich rooms with gorgeous furniture, and see the stunning grounds. This will definitely be a place for many future stays. Located less than 10 minutes off of I-20, it's convenient, comfortable, safe and provides award winning dining. Try some of the unique custom flavored macaroons from the owner, art in itself. Thank you, Anchuca for a new favorite dwelling for this weary traveler and her fur babies. See you soon!

We had a great stay. Rooms need a few repairs but nothing too major. Dinner was great at the restaurant also very pricey. Breakfast was delicious. We had trouble sleeping to sure to the AC making terrible noise all night.(room 6) We were in the carriage house room 6 & 8. The pool looked amazing also. Very nice grounds. I would recommend and stay again.

My wife and I both grew up in Vicksburg and know the importance of the rich history of this city on the Mississippi River. We've been coming to Anchuca for years on our wedding anniversary. Anchuca is a special place. The house is breath taking. Thanks to Tom and the new owners, Anna Kate Doiron and Sam Andrews, for keeping this gem of the south restored. Don't miss Sunday brunch if you are there, the food and service is second to none. We've stayed in many of rooms, but the Wilson Suite is our favorite. Book it for a special occasion and you won't be disappointed.

We did not stay at Anchuca but had dinner in the restaurant in June 2024. First we had cocktails. My Lemon Drop martini was the best I have ever had! Dinner followed with a good bottle of wine. I had Shrimp and Grits and my date had Chicken Piccata. Both were excellent and generous portions. I could not eat all of mine. I can’t wait to go back! Beautiful ambiance, intimate setting. Loved it! You will not be disappointed!

We stayed three nights in one of the carriage house rooms next to the driveway and not in the main house. The reason I chose a carriage house room was that there were no stairs to climb when bringing our luggage in and out. The room was charming and while small, it had excellent use of space. There was a bench seat just inside the door for bags with hooks on the wall. A comfortable easy chair was tucked into a small reading nook with a handy lamp. The queen-sized bed was comfortable, if a little challenging to get into due to its elevation off the floor. The restaurant provided us tasty breakfasts in a beautiful garden room. We had an excellent dinner there our first night in and were impressed with the small but varied wine list. As noted by other reviewers, parking can be tight; our last night we had to park on the street. Overall we had a great visit at Anchuca.

We were in Vicksburg celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and had not planned on staying at Anchuca but are so glad we did! Our room was perfect as was the restaurant and the staff. Loved the history and attention from the owners. Our stay was indeed memorable!

Our time at Anchuca Mansion was brief, but we left with a great impression of this upscale inn. After checking in, we headed to the pool. It’s a good size and the water was very pleasant for a swim in mid-April. Having worked up an appetite, we then stopped at the restaurant (after changing and showering!). The food and service were excellent, with many non-residents also apparently dining there (a good sign).||It’s worth having a look around the historic building, as much of the ground floor is open for impromptu tours by residents. Our room was in keeping with the style of the mansion as a whole, with a comfortable bed and all of the amenities we could hope for.

We are doing a cross country drive this summer, visiting national parks, landmarks and little known treasured places. We were thrilled to have found this restaurant. It’s far from fancy, but in our humble opinion it rates as high as the Chart House

Another one added to my collection! 🤙 Here is my take 1. Plenty of selection. They have all the classic donuts and the size of them is on the larger end of the scale 2. The icing itself is sort of a hybrid of royal and something else. Almost a p
