Anchor Bar - Restaurant in Oswego - 2440 Walter Payton Memorial Hwy, USA

The hostesses were super helpful, very welcoming and pointed us to the choice of our table. Ambience was perfect for a sports bar. They have a decent number of vegetarian options considering this place is known for its wings. Nevertheless, the wings were too crispy for my husband and the sauce choices were excellent. I had cauliflower bites and they were perfect. Onion rings were crispy. Labbat Blue light beer went really well with the wings and cauliflower bites. I'd recommend anyone in the area to visit this bar as they do share a good history on creation of Buffalo wings creation.

Wings are great, Burgers are really good. I haven't tried the Pizza yet, but have heard they are good. Prices are a little higher than you might expect for a bar & grill but the service and quality of the food more than make up for it.

Finally got around to checking this place out with the family. Food was tasty, service was good as well. My only negative comments, the fries were a bit overcooked (burned, not just crispy). I'm sure they would have replaced if I said something. And we had dirty dishes on our table for a while, even though the manager (I think) came by to ask us how things were going. If you are gonna stop at a table to check in on your customers, clear empty dishes.

First time here, and everything was very tasty. The cheese curds tasted just like tiny mozzarella sticks, and the chicken wings were extremely fresh and a good size. The bacon pizza was good with their signature sauce, plus the loaded tater tots are a must try. Frozen drinks were decent. Friendly atmosphere.

A nice sports bar type restaurant with plenty of seating, good food, great service, a bar, and even some slot machines. The original Anchor Bar in Buffalo NY invented the buffalo wing, and they offer a lot of tasty varieties. However, they have an extensive menu for everyone and the spot is worth checking out.

Just Go!! You won't be disappointed!! We just went there to order wings for new years eve and to have a few drinks while we waiting and I can tell you that the Bartender Koda, was amazing!! She made waiting there absolutely fabulous!!Haven't tried anything other than wings and good strong drinks but with the atmosphere there and the hospitality will definitely go back!! This is a place you don't want to miss out on! Wings were great too BTW ..

The fried pickle spears were so good! So crispy. The pizza was OK. In fairness, we really just prefer a thinner crust, and Anchor Bar's crust was semi-thick. Service was a little slow but pleasant. Atmosphere was ok. We sat in bar area. No judgment, but just amazed at all the slot machines popping up in every possible location. Because of this, there was a little traffic around our table due to machines being utilized. All in all, decent restaurant.

Our food was great but took a long time to get to our table...NOT the fault of our server. He was great! Very attentive! He kept our drinks filled and checked on us a lot. He was very personable. I think they're just a little under-staffed. We've dined at Anchor Bar many times and will definitely go back.
