Service was great for our John Wick 4 experience. But… this theatre needs to be gutted and renovated, big time. It is a dump and I couldn’t imagine owning the place, walking in each day, and having any sense of pride. Invest in the theatre and the customers will come in droves. It needs a overhaul, new name, and a grand re-opening to be successful. Also, would suggest working out alcohol service and possibly small plate food options. People have no incentive to come to a theatre in todays digital age for anything other than the experience. Invest in it and reap the rewards!

I went on the 15th to watch Avatar. And it was a horrible experience I took my 84-year-old grandfather in. The sound was off the screen was can't off and then when I went out to get my grandfather more popcorn and seasoning was told it was expired she threw it out and said I don't even know why my workers put it out in the first place. From the moment the movie started I was thinking about the picture quality and the sound PLUS THE MOVIE SCREEN WAS CUTT OFF. This is where they are speaking Navi and we needed to read to know what going on. I must sadly say I do not plan on going back ever again. It felt disrespectful to watch the new Avatar way of the water film that took them 5 to 6 years to make. Most of the movie is WATER and it is computer generated. The process of creating CGI is long, challenging, and very difficult. This takes years to complete and if done correctly it is stunning and absolutely breathtaking. This film was made with a fantastic crew and director. I was excited to take my Popo to this film because he doesn't have the best memory. However, he remember the first film and wanted to see the new second one with the special effects. This was a Grandpa and granddaughter's day. The movie quality was horrible. My 84-year-old grandfather was "okay" with the experience however he even said it was run down and the screen was cut off. He is never one to complain. I enjoyed the time with my grandfather. I did not enjoy the time at the movie, unfortunately. I spent 42$. ( It's the Holiday season and I don't have much money) I was told my 84-year-old grandfather could not get a senior ticket and I had to pay full price. Now reading the comments some people are saying they received free refills. We did not get that type of experience. That is very disappointing to hear in a small town like Anacortes where the community is close.

We watched Avatar 2 on Christmas. Staff was nice, prices were fair, popcorn was good and buttery (self dispenser- al gusto). Sound and screen were great, chairs were comfy, bathroom was big and clean. Maybe the theater floor could have been mopped between showings, and the drink holders don’t fit big drinks, but those were very small concerns as we had a great time. Come see a movie if you are in Anacortes at a nice local theater.

The movies are good and the theater rental option is very nice, but it was very dirty. Both times I've been, there was only one staff lady. She was very nice, but it was obvious that she needed help. Tonight, she had to call the other employee to come to work because he overslept and there was too many people for her to handle by herself. It sucks that such a wonderful historical building is going to waste.

Nice to have a movie theater in a small town! Don't expect reclining seats, though.

I went to see dungeons and dragons but then in the middle of it they decided it would be cool to just stop it and play a diferent movie, there was 3 families in the theater at that time probably 13 people, then they did not even give us our money back and they said they did not know anny one was in the theatre and they were just mean and disrespectfull, never going back.

Cashier was nice and helpful, but the place is a dump. Bathrooms didn't have toilet paper or soap. The whole place is dirty and doesn't look like its been cleaned in months. The seats look like the upholstery a 30s sofa (stains included). A homeless guy even walked in and helped himself to a movie (good for him). Hope the owner puts in more effort into this place for the sake of the community.

This is the second time in the last eight weeks we have arrived at the Anacortes Cinemas to find it dark and closed. No sign out front, no recorded message saying they were gone, running late, or that movies were cancelled. Mind you, this wasn't at midnight, it was at 1:00 pm on the weekend, with a bunch of customers waiting out front for three different movies to start. The employee(s) totally ghosted us. It was inconsiderate and a waste of customers time. So we drove to Burlington to watch the movie at AMC (again the second time doing this), and saw several other couples from the Anacortes theater there. To be perfectly frank, we won't be back to the Anacortes Cinemas, and it's time they went bye-bye. It's my understanding the building has already sold, and perhaps another entrepreneur will build a new place that is managed better. I agree with other posts about cleanliness and understaffing issues. However, it's difficult to have sympathy for a business that is struggling with staffing because of terrible management. If you do a bad job managing your business, and employees subsequently don't show up, leaving your customers waiting outside, it stands to reason you won't make money to hire enough good employees. Lets hope somebody fills the gap that exists in Anacortes for movie entertainment.
