This Taiwanese restaurant is located inside the gas stations, there are only two tables and four seats each along with the bar seating along the kitchen and the windows. Beef noodle soup was ok, it’s not as flavorful as expected and it’s not the beef stews that I was expecting, stinky tofu was good, the sauce that comes with it was pretty good. The sausage that comes with the rice has very strong fishy smells, other than that the fried chicken leg and popcorn chicken is pretty flavorful! Salt and pepper chicken wing was great too! Do try the apple cider soda, it’s very good. Friendly staff! I would recommend if you are driving by and need a stop and go food, wait time was fast!
Based on reviews I would've expected much more. Not that anything was bad but nothing made it feel worth driving from the next county over to try it. The staff was friendly enough and the beef noodle soup was pretty decent.
The dumpling was underwhelming and the rice was somehow blander than rice usually is. And the interior could've used a good cleaning.
It is taiwanese street food but considering the hype this place gets, was expecting it to taste better.
Having eaten in night markets in Taiwan, I’ll admit the menu does have the staples you’d see. But it’s missing lots in the flavor department. The fried squid has pretty much no taste at all.
I adore this place. Both dishes I had were perfect, the Taiwan Beef Noodle and Braised Pork Rice. Then the vibe was 🤌. You should definitely go check this place out for your own sake. I can’t wait to go back and eat more from the menu.
The food is not bad for the price, but lower than my expectation since there are many 5 star reviews. I ordered braised pork rice, sticky rice with eel, savory tangyuan, and pork knuckle. The sticky rice is a little dry and hard. Hair on the pork knuckles are not removed (see my photos). Hair on pork skin must be carefully removed for any pork dish with skin on, otherwise the short hair will scratch throat when swallowing. Yes, it is a painful procedure, but if not done, it is better not to sell that dish.
Probably the most authentic Taiwanese restaurant close to DC!! It is a food stand with a convenient store instead of a fancy exterior, but the foooooood‼️
The beef noodle is a MUST.
Have to mention that the sides such as pickled cabbage and braised eggs that came with the entrees all make me feel like home.
Will definitely come back for more.
家鄉味100分🙌🏻✨
Small, authentic Taiwanese eatery tucked away in a gas station. The beef noodle soup was delicious - the beef was super tender. Sakura shrimp oil rice and stinky tofu were also delicious. Overall I enjoyed the food though I wasn’t blown away by anything. Hope they roll out other street eats like rice balls, fresh soy milk, and fried doughnut.
I rarely write a review but this Taiwanese restaurant made me honored to recognize it. I am so happy this restaurant is open, they used to sell pre-made frozen food packages and used to have a shop in an Asian market and now this location is very convenient to get to and have a lot of choices. All the food are authentic and it's the best Taiwanese street food in D.C. area. It's wonderful to have this gem in the neighborhood. This shop is clean and have a few seats, if you have a large group or young children it's best to order carry-out. I've tried 6 dishes from them and all have decent amount and quality food. Definitely worth to travel here for authentic Taiwanese food!
I found this while I was visiting a friend in Rockvilleand I loved it! I made a second visit on the way back home and so glad I did. I like french pastries, croissants and cafes and make a point of visiting highly rated places whenever I visit new ci
My nutritionist recommended strength training to compensate for the muscle loss that comes with aging. A neighbor had sung the praises of 202strong and I decided to give them a try. I started with 2 private sessions with Maddie, which were great.
Healthy Baller is a great place to work out. All the trainers are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely care about their clients. It is a special place to be. I've been working out there for 4 years now. My trainer Brad Schachat has been my train
