The food, drinks, service and atmosphere were a 10/10! We ordered many dishes and all were mouth watering. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. The building itself is beautiful and so well-designed. There wasn't one thing we’d change about our dining experience. We highly recommend this spot and will definitely be coming back!

Had an absolutely amazing meal here!! I got the grilled watermelon salad and braised oxtail. Both were ridiculously good; the salad was easily in the top 10 salads I’ve ever had & the oxtail was incredibly tender & on a beautiful bed of yams. The portions were very generous. I could have easily split these items with another person, but ended up taking leftovers home. Was able to confirm that the chicken and oxtail were certified halal & really appreciated that as I normally avoid soul food due to my dietary restrictions. Service was fast & very friendly

I’ve been several times over the past year and half. Every experience is better than the last…. atmosphere, food and service are always wonderful. Support quality black own restaurants that offer a high quantity experience within an intimate setting!!

Delicious! Decided to try this place out for restaurant week and everything we got was fantastic. The rock shrimp had playful presentation with a great batter. The gravy on the smothered wings was flavorful and the veggie sides were perfectly done. Finally found a good Mac and cheese. The "accessories" are sized to share. The red velvet fried Oreos were very tasty. Service was quick and friendly. I would definitely come back!

Service was great, atmosphere was nice, food was blah, drinks were good. Best thing under appetizers were the cheesesteak beignets. Entrees were subpar. The down home gumbo was so dark and thick that I didn't realize there was rice on the bottom. The ribs were tender but the grits were very gritty. The mashed potatoes tasted like potatoes flakes from a box. The lobster deviled eggs, salmon, shrimp po boy, corn bread were regular.

My soul was satisfied from everything I tasted. We shared the cheesesteak beignet and also had the braised oxtail, braised short rib with a shared side of Mac and cheese. I did my little food dance after every bite. Service was also quick. Tens across the board

I have been here for both brunch and dinner and both times I was not disappointed. I had servers Ebony and Jen. That’s a yes! Very good customer service for both. Carl made the best Old Fashioned I had in my life. The head chef definitely knows what they’re doing. The owner I bow down to because this is not just food and drinks, this is an experience. I love, love, love that things are not overly seasoned or salty. Perfection!!!!!!

Went here for a birthday, the staff were very friendly, service was fast. They are well run, now the food the shrimp was delicious, the turkey wing (1) was good but very overpriced the sides need work. The deconstructed watermelon cheesecake, not impressed the whipped cream, was warm on top, which makes it nasty after that it's just cheesecake, nothing special. If you're looking for a good date night spot, go here, but expect to pay a good bit of money.

I fell in love with the food here. Food is made so well. The spicy 🥵 is hot. The sauces are fresh. Meat cooked well. Chorizos were crunchy on the outside and nice and moist on the inside. Now let’s go to the star of the show…the red beans and

Just wow. I've eaten at a lot of the BBQ joints in the area, and I can honestly say this is one of the best. The food is outrageously good and the portions are generous. There's a full service bar/coffee bar as well. I could gush about this place for

I'm not a vegan at all, and this food was 10x's better than most "regular" restaurants can make. The chicken cheesesteak, which was mushrooms on a wheat roll, really surprised me that it was vegan. The fried chicken tasted as good as a Sunday church
