Overall this isn't a terrible place to stay. Especially if you're on a budget. 300 a week is pretty good. The staff are friendly and owners are onsite daily. The rooms are dated but clean, shower is hot, beds aren't too bad. Never seen any bugs so that's a major plus. Housekeeping daily through the week. I've seen some bad reviews but honestly I didn't see any issues. They have onsite laundry. Tvs are basically antenna so not the best in that area. Only things I didn't like were the parking lot is small so larger vehicles are hard to maneuver, the walls are extremely thin so you hear everything. This came as an issue for me having to get up early and most nights I'm awake half the night bc people want to be loud. Plus people coming in/out of the motel all hours of the night and again you can hear everything outside.
They kick me out. Because there bathroom overflowed our whole room. When I went to inform them about flood, the first thing they said was ur rent is due by 11. Then upon me paying they said they didn't want to rent to a blackman anymore... I'm following up with a discrimination and civil suit... . The manager and staff all SMOKING METH Don't rent from them trust me all they want is your money..
My stay here was awesome. Great price great owners and Jodi she is the best. She made myself and my husband feel so welcome. She also went above and beyond to help in anyway. We were in Ames working for a month which was very cold 🥶 but the things she did for us during our stay we would never have had staying somewhere else. Our room was always straight and clean and smelled so good when we came in from a long day of work. It’s the small things that make your stay somewhere awesome. If I could find a Jodi everywhere I stay for work would be great. But she’s one of a kind. And she’s Here at the Motor Lodge.
Great little place for the price. Owners/ Managers friendly and polite. Had no concerns about safety; everything in room worked fine; hot shower; clean; etc... will definitely stay again when we return
Local owners. Real people who care about you having the best stay possible. All you gotta do is ask and they'll do all they can to accommodate you in any way they can. Terrific price. It's a dated hotel but I travel for work so I was extremely happy with my stay. Was there for 8 weeks.
Older hotel, cheapest rates in town. Hotel is perfect if your looking for a long term place to stay while working out of town. Parking lot is horrible and very overcrowded. If you have more than one vehicle per room there is a problem. Rooms could use some remodeling badly as they are outdated and badly arranged. Does have a full size fridge and sink, however no sink or mirror in bathroom. WiFi IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! It does not work most of the time and is basically one home internet router with range extenders in various rooms. That was biggest problem for me. No data. Staff are pretty friendly but the housekeeping could be better. Great for a man camp to save a little money. Not as cheap to stay as it should be either. I would stay again though as overall it wasn't to uncomfortable.
Very disgusting place. My husband was staying there for work and he has bumps all over his body how disgusting. How can u have bed bugs in a HOTEL!! Very disrespectful people when u confront them about there nasty problems with there rooms. For sure not a place for a baby/kid. Should be shut tf down! Not a Hotel, to dirty.
There's mice. The water pressure in the bath is very light and the water doesn't get hot. They kicked me, my 10 MONTH old and boyfriend out because we called and told them that the room was infested. The employees are rude. Spend the extra money for a different hotel. Not worth the stay.
My new favorite place in Ames! Great protein and super fresh ingredients, I have took 3 poke bowls a week and never gotten sick ever! The salmon and tuna are amazing. The staff is always nice and accommodating! The place is always clean too. Would hi
Omg Vanessa and Coco were amazing. I highly recommend. I donât care if your straight, gay, trans or whatever youâll have fun and be loved. Come and have the best night of bingo ever!
The classes are fantastic with every day being different and covering both strength and endurance type workouts. The staff and the coaches are very friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is motivating in group sessions which helps to push the lim
Innamoratissimo! The cityâs definitive hole in the wall cafe downtown, under what was the old Bike World / Two Wheel Travel on Kellogg and Main. Great aesthetic, not too big nor too small. NOT wheelchair accessible due to the almost microscopic sta
