This is one of the best Americ-Inns we’ve stayed at. It was right off the interstate, ample parking, welcoming lobby, heated pool, clean rooms and comfy bed/pillows. They offered a simple breakfast with a waffle maker. Me and my family woke up refreshed and ready to tackle Thomas Day Out in Boone IA!
We reserved a room based in a previous review by an animal lover. We arrived at 3 am — 7 hours later than expected. We were met with gracious kindness after a long stressful day of travel!!! The breakfast was excellent including the fine coffee. And the sausage must be a local specialty. We highly recommend WyndhamAmerican Inn in Stuart Iowa.
I reserved and requested a ground level room and was told we never reserved one and was given a second floor room. I'm disabled and was forced to walk upstairs, causing me to get no sleep from pain. The beds looked like they had been slept in and had human body fluid stains on the sheets. Had to take our bedding off and request new. They through a fit about it. The sink didn't work. The shower had very little pressure. They supprised me with a 200 dollar deposit on the room for paying cash. The young desk girl will argue rather than finding a civil outcome. These are new owners, and the place has gone downhill. I will never come back. I'm glad my group didn't come with me this year. We rent 4 rooms a day.
I checked in to this hotel very late - it was after 1:00 am. I was very very happy with Clean room - it was a nice size. The comfy bed and clean smell in the room helped me fall asleep instantly! I was traveling with two dogs. I would highly recommend this for families! Safe location.
Don't judge this place before you get inside! This is a perfect little pet friendly hotel with a decent pool for kids to get their wiggles out, all at a good price for road trippers. The place is clean and kept well. The only negative that is very livable and a constant battle as a 6'2" person. The shower heads are sub 5'8" - so anyone taller will have to duck a good bit.
Stopped here on my way through town in June. Front desk staff were outstanding. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, hotel was quiet, and breakfast was really good. It is a little tucked away and was difficult to find in the dark, and the parking lot was a little bumpy, but the kindness and service more than made up for it.
This American Inn was excellent! It was exceptionally clean, the bed was comfy, the TV was large and the breakfast was very good. Plus, they made for me even though I had no reservations at a very reasonable price. I couldn't have ask for better service!
We needed to make arrangements for a block of rooms because a member of our family had passed away. We were greeted at the front desk with warmth and compassion. Prexa helped us reserve the rooms. As each of our family groups arrived they found the same warm welcome. Later, we were allowed to use the conference room for our family to gather together. Everyone was so understanding and accommodating. We were very imressed with the cleanliness of the facility. Everyone commented what a nice place it was for being in a small rural community.
