This motel had everything. It had a fridge, microwave, iron and it even had a couch. It had everything you could ever need and real friendly staff to go with it. (They really liked my dog)On top of all that, it was really cheap too! There was a gas station right next to the motel with a casino, restaurant, and beauty salon. I will definitely be staying here whenever I go to reno again.
First I will say the lovely lady Danna at check in was wonderful. However that’s where the good ended. I called two days before about booking a room. The website says outdoor pool. That’s why I picked it. Only to arrive and the pool is not only closed for maintenance but has been for WEEKS!! Maybe advise your guests before they waste their money.
Next, the website states free breakfast. Might want to add “continental” to that phrase. I’m fine with continental but when it only says breakfast I’m def expecting something hot and not oatmeal with no milk. 🙄
Ice machine-not working. Solution? Take your bucket to the casino next door 🤔
Pop machine-also not working (just an observation as I don’t buy from machines)
Day two key cards don’t work. Went and got replacement. These also do not work. Took over an hour to get keys that actually worked. Thankfully maintenance let me into my room.
When discussing my frustrations with the manager she basically made excuses (re closed pool)
I will not return to this hotel. There are too many other choices that will appreciate my business and not be indifferent when I voice my concerns.
Positive: Friendly staff. Easy to get reservations. Negative: I was disappointed in the bed mattress that was more like a hammock than flat. Sad that the ice machine was broken but glad that I only had to walk 200 yards to the adjacent casino for a bucket of ice. Halls still smell smoky after years of NS ordinance.
Nice motel with inside entrance to rooms. Provide a luggage cart. |We arrived at shift change and no one could check us in till everyone clocked out and new shift clocked in. This left a bad first impression.|Room very nice. Furnishings fairly new. Big negative which we found peculiar was tp holder was unreachable from toilet. We laughed! It was across the room. Bathroom fan didn’t work.|Room clock didn’t work. |Overall nice place to stay. Right next to a casino if that’s your thing.
Positive: The room was smoke free. The ice machine worked. Friendly staff. Negative: The room was not clean. The edge of the bed had two dried up items and little rocks. The chair legs had a layer of dust. Breakfast, very poor. Security lacking, the outside door had a towel to keep it from shutting. Pool out of order.
I hate leaving bad reviews and if it weren't for the nice staff and great coffee my review would be less than kind. We arrived early and asked about early check in, there was a $35 charge for that 🤷♀️ ehh, ok I can deal with that. But for hecks sake it was so dirty, built up lent and crumbs behind the bathroom door. Carpet hadn't seen a vacuum for a minute. The room smelled like urine and smoke. They need a staff that works together to keep up a clean appearance, instead of outside smoking. I've worked in hospitality my entire working career and this place could use some management skills.
***** IF YOU'VE GOT TIME TO LEAN... YOUVE GOT TIME TO CLEAN. Just saying
Positive: The beds were very comfortable! Negative: It did not have a phone in the room. That seemed strange in case we needed to contact the front desk.
Positive: The night shift desk clerk was awesome. I was caught of guard when I was told by her that their was an extra $100 deposit required for my stay. She handled the situation perfectly. She does not set the policies. Know that. I came back and apologized. Negative: ""
My husband & I travel for his career and are away from home 10/12 months of the year. With that being said, of the MANY hotels we've stayed at this is the best. (Thats including Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, HI also).
