Americas Best Value Inn Oxnard Port Hueneme - Hotel in Port Hueneme - 340 E Pleasant Valley Rd, USA

I had just spent $2k on a full day of tattoo work. I was exhausted and this place was nearby and I just needed a place to crash for a night. When i saw the room I went straight back down and got a refund. No way was I going to stay there. Moldy smell, room was 80+ degrees inside when I walked in. Bedding was old, rough, had holes in it. Had two flat pillows. Walls painted dark green but chipping paint. Door stays open if you don’t force it shut. Door locks didn’t feel sufficient. Leaky sink wouldn’t turn off. Had one small table that was banged up and looked terrible. It was seriously depressing. I felt like staying in that room would undoubtedly result in a massive infection with a fresh tattoo. Lady at the front desk drilled me on why I didn’t want to stay and argued with me. I felt bad and uncomfortable and was trying to be kind but after the 3rd time explainingI got upset. I had to be blunt and tell her everything about it was gross and the bottom line is that I’d rather pay three times as much and sleep in the car than spend 10 min in that room. Ugh… wouldn’t be surprised if the rented by the hour.

If I could give it no stars I would !!!!!!! customer services is TERRIBLE treats you like animals , yell and use profanity at you during check in. rooms had tons of water damages , smelled like mold . Beds were stiff and uncomfortable. Would never recommend this motel even if just to stop by and rest ! Worst place ever!! will never return

I was down on my luck and needed a quick place to stay. I am not homeless but rather found myself in a bad situation at the time. This was a great place to stay, get my work done, and do my work for college. They accommodated me tremendously and provided me a room at a great price. The room was clean, safe and many cameras everywhere. Right around the corner from the police station. It included Soap, Shampoo and other toiletries. The towels smelled fresh out the washer. For the price I paid for my room, it was well worth it. A Safe place to do my remote work on my laptop, an air conditioner and a mini fridge/microwave. If you are looking for a quick place to stay in a very safe location, I would recommend this location. - Kanaan

This property is a hot mess the rooms are out dated smelly bathroom full of molds towels and linens are very old and ragged , I walked in the room and it was very scorn full the chairs are dirty and old I went back to the office to return the key and cancel because just looking at the room I wanna vomit , the receptionist tried his best to accommodate me by showing me two other rooms which was no good either , but I ended up take room 210 & went to Ross and bought my own linen just to sleep for the night . I don’t even shower there It was so scornful . I normally stay at navy lodge when I visit Oxnard but this was a last minute trip so I had to get a hotel off base because navy lodge was booked out . And this hotel just ruin ed it for me

Place looks great on the outside great location the inside was tremendous ridcouls nasty walls are all differnt color blanket had holes in them the blankets had more holes than Swiss cheese none of the furniture matched the room the room smelt real bad the whole room needs a whole make over a complete disaster when I went my partner very disappointed in the room in general the room is very very much out dated the person was very rude and was demanding a deposit and only asked us we were of color but never asked the people Infront of us or behind us for any deposit I give this place a negative review

I had a pleasant stay. It may not have all the amenities like some do…don’t need a pool as it’s next to the beach; no gym; no breakfast. The water pressure is not the hotel’s fault as the city probably haven’t upgraded the city’s plumbing. But, it was clean and comfortable.

Positive: Even though the building looks old the outside was clean. Negative: My room was very small, the bathroom door didn't close, the bathtub looked old, dingy and had old ink spots all over and the bathroom floor towel was spoted too. The shower ring was rusty. The inside of the bedspread had holes. Negative: ""

The absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Dirty room, smelly dirty refrigerator. Nothing good in our room or my sisters. Had to ask for TP, towels, wash cloths and didn't have any face towels. Will never stay here again. Needs major tear down or massive refurbishment.
