Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Waukegan Gurnee - Hotel in Waukegan - 411 S Green Bay Rd, USA

The doors are constantly slaming even the hallway door is slammed in a row 4 to 5 times consecutively in an day! There is banging on the walls from certain rooms and loud sex noises with loud rocking sounds in the bathroom. I told the manager and it was never resolved if anything it got worse.So I don't recommend this place at all until they take this seriously and get an handle on this place. All these door slammings is damaging the managers doors but he doesn't seem to be taking it seriously.How much in repairs could this eventually cost americas best value.At least whoever owns the whole company should care about that.

Worst hotel ever. Attended a get together in Waukegan..We live in Chicago. Read the reviews and it was WORST. Rooms are filled with dust. Electrical outlets expose 4all to see. Bed smelled like old urine..Room smelled of old smoke- urine and funk. No need to clean- hotel needs to be torn down. Manager is a racist- he hates Latinos Blacks.Worse manager ever of that dump..Took a walk one day to the rooms in the back. Housekeeper was cleanings- nice lady.I threw up in my mouth..Worse than my roo.m- funk of the room made me sick- forever smoke- saw the dirt in the air.Who in thr right mind would stay here in these rooms.Manager has to be nasty for advertisering these rooms to rent. A/C was filled with dust- funk as I turned A/C on and dust came out. Dusk in every corner plus the window had nt been cleaned in years..Ladies of the evening toss tricks here. Was there for 4days- worst 4days of life. Manager and his family lives here in this filthy dump. Manager is a mean man..Saw his wife with black eyes. Do not stay here- u will regret and thank me later

That word, adequate, sums up this place, at least in my experience. Room was clean, nothing special otherwise. Beds were nice, with decent pillows. The air-conditioner was quiet, didn't wake me. Breakfast was... there. Coffee was probably old, and wasn't that great. Choice was cereal, waffles, bread and English muffins, instant oatmeal and juice/milk. So not terrible, but not a great choice. ||||I feel I paid just a little more than the stay was worth. I'd look elsewhere for a better place unless you can get a rock bottom rate.

We came for our son-in-laws Navy boot camp graduation. Richard checked us in and he was very nice. We needed extra blankets and pillow and he did not hesitate to get them for us. We spoke to several front desk employees while we were there and they were just as nice and helpful. They all had very good attitudes and joked with us. After reading the reviews I was a little worried about this motel. But I was very pleased with our stay. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Trust me when I say I am a very picky guest and pay attention to detail. I work in a motel in Canaan Valley,WV and I would not stay in a motel that I felt was not safe and not clean. The staff treated my family and me just as I treat my guests!!!!

I am writing in concerns of being treated unfair while staying at one of your hotels at America Best Value Inn & Suites Waukegan Illinois 60085. Upon arriving at your hotel I was told that was not an elevator in your location, so since I am pregnant, I requested a room on the 1st floor. Note, that I was there visiting for my Sons Graduation from the Navy Academy Recruit center in Chicago. Once arriving to my room I noticed that the sink in the bath room was stopped up. I called the front desk to let them know around 6:46 am 9-7-18. A front desk person came to my room (115) and tried to hand me the plunger to unclog the sink. I told him I am the guest and I am not unplugging the sink, that’s the hotels job. He was rude and tried to hand me the plunger and the put it inside the room on the floor. I would not take it. Then I waited for the so called manager to come on duty who treated me even worse. Later that evening I returned to the hotel around 7:00pm and noticed my room had not been cleaned and ANTS were everywhere, covering the dirty cups left behind and over the trash. I reported this to the front desk and was told it was probably from the sugar in the empty cup. NO, first of all the room was not cleaned, no excuse for this. Then the front desk guy tried spraying some type of chemical while I AM PREGNANT. This was not accepted, me and my guest packed our luggage and left your hotel for a better serving hotel.|| ||||With this all being said, I had to check into another hotel to accommodate my pregnant status. I asked for a one day refund and was refused. I asked for another room and was told no more rooms available. I asked for the corporate manager and was told they could not be reached and they could not give out number. So I am online emailing you and now pissed off because of the way I was treated. I expect better service when a customer is paying no matter what. I understand this was probably not a good hotel to be in once I arrived, but I tried to suck it up. But with the bad treatment, I could not suck it up. NO one deserved to sleep in those conditions no matter what the situation is. I WILL NEVER ADVISE ANYONE COMING TO GRADUATION TO STAY AT ANY HOTELS ASSOCIATED WITH ABVI.

I wish there was any option less than 1 star because these guys don’t even deserve any. I was sent up here for a month’s school and while I was doing my bookings on DTS, the Navy Lodge and NGIS didn’t show up with the implication that they might be booked already at the time. This hotel popped up as the first recommendation on DTS including other hotel out in town. I chose it since it seemed to appear the closest to base. Upon arrival I was sent to a dirty room with food left overs in the drawer next to the bed. No refrigerator in the room and dirt everywhere. I requested for another room and it wasn’t any better( dust everywhere). They charged me for 8 days, and I checked out after the 6days and these people didn’t give me back my full refund. There was no complementary breakfast like they claim. The towels weren’t properly cleaned. Housekeeping just barge into my room without knocking at all since they have their own key. The craziest part was that they put bed sheets on the floor to clean water leaking from the ceiling which is a health risk. I was sick emotionally, psychologically and physically the whole time I spent in that hotel. I finally got me a reservation at the Navy lodge and moved out. DON’T EVER BOOK THIS PLACE !!!!!

You get what you pay for, I guess. Don't be distracted by the cheap price. Allergies immediately flare up within the first hour for my wife and myself (I don't have frequent allergies) unsanitary bed frames, sheets, floors and walls. Structure issues with closet doors and front door to room. Fire department walked in room for whatever reason with no effort due to door frame unsecured. After complaining about conditions, we were offered another room which we accepted. This one being worse than the last. Wall sockets exposed, missing sheets and pillows and what appeared to be adult fluids sprayed across the floor and still visible as well as a large stain that hopefully was liquid food. We were told we had to wait until after 2pm to check in for cleaning purposes or be charged an early fee of $40. Didn't know they charged extra to clean our room before we checked in. Glad we waited. After ending up paying for a full night stay for being there about 1 1/2 hours we book else where that was a little more but well worth the extra cost. Customer service was pleasant and had no issue with the staff as they tried to rectify the issue but with bad conditions and unknown room conditions he was at a disadvantage from the start.
