Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Clarence/Buffalo East - Hotel in Clarence - 9370 Main St, USA

I have stayed here many many times over the years. My last visit was very disappointing!! Upon registering I was told the room I specifically requested & had always stayed in was NOT available. I loved the layout of that room, canopy bed & heart shaped jacuzzi! The room they gave me had neither. I made the best of it until I decided to use the jacuzzi & found it had ants running all over it! I Redressed, complained to management & they requested I left for a fews hours while they sprayed to kill them. Fours hours later I returned to a room full of dead ants & it smelled of chemicals including my belongings. I packed up to just go home, stopped to talk to management & expected a "sorry" & at least a partial return of my money. I received neither I would NEVER return or reccommend this place to anyone!!!!

We stayed here on the way to a concert at Darien Lake. The first two rooms we were given were either not cleaned or had people staying in them. After going to the front desk for the third time we were given a suite. It was very old and quite dated. The mattress was old and our backs hurt in the morning. Our friends traveling with us had a cleaned rom however they had to keep the air conditioner on all night to counter the urine smell that came from the bathroom. Outside the rooms were people who possibly lived here full time? They were in lawn chairs as if on their porch, commenting on the goings-ons. One positive was the landscaping was well weeded and pretty. .

My flight was delayed 4 times. I got to the location at @1:30AM. I had called to tell the location that I would be late. When I got there no one was in the office but there was a neon sign saying open. There were two different doorbells. I rang both many times. A person came and unlocked the door with his phone. He seemed to know who I was and gave me a key. I went to the room and turned the light on. The room seemed fine. I was so exhausted and I needed to be somewhere at 6AM so I didn't spend time looking around. I got up at 5AM and quickly got ready to leave. After I came back I just went to bed. Aperson knocked to ask if I needed service. I told him no because I didn't want to be bothered. I slept a little bit and then I went out. I came back and then noticed that the room was in bad shape. The carpet seemed to be new. The bathroom floor was new as the toilet. The sink vanity was coming apart. The tiles on the shower entry were cracked and repaired badly. The bathroom had no fan so everything showed rust. The bed was good. The furniture was very well used. The room set up was odd. The room was clean in certain areas but upon closer looking the room was not well kept. There was a repair that had not been finished above the bed. The closet was not in good shape at all. The drapery had burn holes in them. It appears it is an extended family operation. I do not feel that they are able to make the necessary repairs or upkeep. I made this reservation through Delta Airlines. The hotel was listed as a Rodeway Inn and Suites on Delta's site. I think they should start with one room and remodel the room and move to the next. Making these short term repairs in each room do not make the location inviting. The heat was on when I got to my room so that was inviting. I feel they are doing the best they can but do not have the funds or the experience needed.

We stayed here for one night as a last-minute booking for an event in nearby Buffalo, NY. This motel was easy to find on the main road in town and a reasonable distance from the interstate. The check-in and check-out clerks were friendly and parking was located right in front of our door. Although a continental breakfast was advertised at booking, we were advised by the night clerk that the facility was under new management and breakfast was not yet available so we easily found nearby restaurants in the morning. ||Pros - The room and bathroom were basically clean and tidy. There was a small fridge and a nice size TV for the room. The heat worked well and could be adjusted as needed so that the room stayed at a comfortable temperature. ||Cons - The bed was not very comfortable and we could hear our neighboring rooms fairly clearly. The furniture was functional but seemed dated and probably needs to be updated and replaced at some point.

A cheap option we needed for an emergency over-night stay to avoid a long late night drive home. One of the rather thin and miss-matched towels was obviously never changed and grubby on the corner. The usual tiny mold tracks were present here and there in the grout of the shallow tub. Bathroom window had been left open but the heater when cranked up worked well. The land line phone connection was erratic. TV sleep mode worked. Family run, the front desk man remained stone-faced and no diplomat. Other members get to do the clean-up but I suspect the whole enterprise feels beneath them. This reaction could be due to who knows what attitude the American public has displayed towards them.

WORST hotel window would not crank all the way closed which led to the heat not turning off. The room ended up about 90 degrees in there. The drawers in the kitchen had something that resembled crusty lettuce and dirt. A cupboard door almost hit my sister in the head when she opened it to look for a cup which there were no dishes at all. In the windows were dead bugs. There weren't sheets for the pullout bed and the blanket that was supposed to be used as an extra for the pullout had holes in it. We paid for 4 people to stay there in a deluxe suite with jacuzzi and hot tub which there was no hot tub in this room. This was not the room I paid for I was over charged and when we asked about the hot tub she told us to look in the pullout couch. She did not understand English & FREE BREAKFAST WAS NOT IN SEASON so thank goodness for Tim Hortons.

Don't be fooled by good reviews. We stayed at this motel while attending a concert at Darien Lake. The first two rooms we were given were either being used at the time or not cleaned. The positives: the room was quiet, excellent water pressure in the shower, the grounds look nice. The negatives: cobwebs, dust, mold, dirty doors, dirty baseboards, dirty switch plates and outlets, dirty windowsills with dead flies, questionable electrical outlet. I plugged in my phone charger, and the table lamp went out. I had to jiggle the plug just right to keep the light on. I have documented my complaints with photographs.Overpriced for the condition of the room. Will not return. I thought the management would take steps to improve their standards after so many reviews pointing out the need for improvement.
