Americana Inn Motel - Motel in South San Francisco - 760 El Camino Real, USA

Could not possibly recommend more! I don't usually bother with reviews but had such a good experience here I felt compelled to write one. The room was genuinely nice and well decorated with lots of mid- century character. Perfectly clean; all furnishings/ appliances/ fixtures well maintained and in good shape... they even had a massage chair in the room! Check in / out was super easy. Location is quite convenient, a short 10-15 min bus ride (or 25 min walk) from both San Bruno and South SF Bart stations, 15 min drive to SF proper, and about 15-20 min drive from the airport. For the price you'd be hard pressed to find anything close to as good. Easily the best sub-$100 room you will find in the bay area, hands down

First of all I have stayed in hundreds if not thousands of hotels and for the first time ever there was a rare treat or two with this place which is 2 massage chairs that do an amazing job of relaxing you. Totally unexpected when I booked this place. Like I knew it had a Las Vegas vibe with the rooms slash retro 1960’s which is spot on. Apparently all the rooms are decorated slightly different which is neat. The host was nice and the experience was well worth it instead of staying in any of the monotonous hotels that all have the same feel in the area. Would 200% stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Totally digged the ambiance of the rooms. Loved the retro appliances, massage chair was a nice touch. Our room was not an all amazing grand 5 star hotel, but that's not what we were looking for. We were looking for an affordable, clean, comfortable place to stay for the weekend to attend a nearby wedding and this fit exactly what we needed. If we needed to tend to business in the bay anytime in the future we will definitely return.

The room was clean, but I couldn't get any sleep the 2 nights I was there because you can hear noise from the street! I was in room 208 upstairs, but I was close to the street so I could hear cars all night. No person was working the front desk. You have to ring the bell and can't enter the lobby. Neighborhood looks sketcky, but I felt safe when I walked to the restaurant next door. Maybe the back of the building is better?

Room looks great in the pictures but that's definitely not the whole story. Our air conditioner didn't work in the room. Also upon arriving, there were stains and blemishes all over the room like chipped doorways, browning on the toilet and tub, and just an overall feeling that the room hasn't been renovated in a very long time. The shower didn't have nearly enough pressure and the temperature control was tilting and twisting and was very hard to control the temperature. The bed was uncomfortable as well. Hotels.com has this place rated as an 8.0 which seems very inflated and an outright lie. Do yourself a favor and spend a few bucks more to find a much better motel experience. Google also needs to update that this is no longer a pet friendly place.

Stayed here after a very long flight from London. Looks a bit old from the outside but, despite arriving late, service was friendly and the rooms themselves were kitschy, fun and clean. Excellent value for money and 10 mins from the airport.

Petit motel très correct pour prendre l'avion. L'endroit est assez bruyant (à côté de l'aéroport) et assez mal insonorisé comme beaucoup de motel. Chambre propre et assez spacieuse avec micro ondes et frigo et même deux sièges massant, top👍 Très bien pour une ou deux nuits.
