American Inn - Motel in West Columbia - 1617 Charleston Hwy, USA

You get what you pay for. We stayed here in a weekly basis for a few weeks while we were in between rentals. The staff doesn't bother you. They are flexible when it comes to paying for your room. They won't kick you out at checkout as long as you say you can pay later that day. It is relatively quiet and everyone is nice. Most people here are staying weekly like we are.

Price was affordable, but no one was at front desk when I tried to check in. Had to wait several minutes after ringing the bell before anyone showed up to help. After finally getting checked in, key to room didn't work. Tried three keys, none worked. Was given a different room. Four keys to that room didn't work. Rooms were clean, but smelled dirty. Would not recommend this chain.

Its is very quiet . But very nasty I really dont think they change the sheets or even clean ever . Tub was very gross .. all this might b y its quiet , cause there's no one else at this place staying . Found beg bug also .. nothing was done about it either no refund . And I had to get another room else where

If I could give this place a zero star rating I would. Paid $275 for a week. Bathroom is falling apart. House keepers don't speak English. Management and front desk is never available. Floor going to bathroom is weak and falling through. Do not expect a nice shower the water pressure is lower than a squirt gun from the 1970's and the tub floor is slippery Af so watch your step. Zero ventilation in the bathroom. Take a shower get steamed out. Really just a $#@+y place to stay...

It's quite no drama or people walking around all hours of the night and you have no worries here about your cars or property outside while your on your stay here..

*Great inexpensive inn for an overnight stay or longer *very reasonably priced *clean rooms *lots of security cameras and well lit parking lot *very accommodating staff *conveniently near the airport *looking for a quick inexpensive overnight nap I definitely refer and recommend American Inn

Just awful. I have worked in the Hospitality Industry and was shocked by how dismissive the Front Desk person was. Refused to help me in any way and said not to ring the night bell again. (I only rang it once or twice because clearly she was asleep on the job). It’s LITERALLY your job to help guests. If I could give less stars, I would. How they got a 3 star rating is beyond me.

It's not a fancy, continental breakfast kinda place, but the prices are reasonable, the rooms are very clean, the staff is courteous and professional, and it's very quiet. Also, you're minutes from downtown Columbia and the airport. There are many restaurants and businesses nearby, including Walmart and kMary. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean place to stay regardless of what you may be in the Columbia area for. I'd stay there again any time.
