American Inn - Motel in Tyler - 1800 W Erwin St, USA

For starters I hate rooms with carpet I'm here on business so had first night paid for before arrival. When u walk in u can smell the mold. The table was not screwed on so it flipped over wen trying to set something on top. Fridge didn't work so food spoiled. There are no outlets only one wich already had the phone microwave fridge n tv plugged in n cable modem. When I attempted to shower to my surprise there's no mf hot water!! I attempted to complain n was informed that only hot water comes out from the sink! N sure enough hot water works from sink. They charge 65 it should be more like 35. The area is not good either n the front ppl don't even understand wat ure saying just repeat ok ok ok is all they say.

Floor made my feet black and dirty just walking from bed to bathroom. The only plug in the place was no where near a mirror soother doing your hair with a curling iron or hair dryer. I could go on but just suffice it to say, needs improvement. People were very nice but the quality control was lacking.

I had a LIVE bed bug crawling on me and I took it to the front and he showed me two other rooms that had them and i told them I didn't feel comfortable staying there. And wanted my money back and my wife had to get snappy with the guy to get him to refund us the whole $50 dollars. Not worth it

Every night about 1:30am the parking lot turns into the spot to be yelling and talking loud in front of people's door. If that isn't enough don't even try to flush more than 2 pieces of toilet paper or you'll need a plunger. Also the high end microwave is loud enough to destroy any thing left good about staying here.

It's your basic motor inn motel. Cars pull up to the motel room door. Someone left their car door open with their music blaring. They would not turn it down when we asked them to. The room was very basic. Good things: Cheap price for 2 nights, TV with cable, frig, microwave. Bad things: squeaky beds, no towel racks, no clothes hangers, only one trash can for the entire room. We had to ask for extra towels. If you don't care about the neighborhood or who might be pulling into the parking lot, it's ok for the low price. Next time I will look for something a little nicer and feel a lot safer.

Good service nice rooms with equally nice amenities. House keeping could use some more work on efficiency when going room to room. Sometimes will try to over charge you but if you call ahead of time and reserve a room there is no problems. Stay away from neighboring rooms and you'll have a decent stay.

You will get profiled by the police coming out of this facility and pulled over simply by staying there. The housekeeping ladies are very kind. The lady working the desk during the day this kind. But the manager is very nosey and I stayed in that hotel with no electricity for 4 days and did not get compensated.

What a joke, they guy that runs it in the office is a CON ARTIST. NO AMENITIES. I reviewed way to early, save your money sleep in your car. Rooms aren't cleaned properly, will try to swindle you, and it's a very unsafe place, with the people roaming around at all times of night, pulling car handles,and yelling across the parking lot. NO HOT WATER, AND YOU HAVE TO REQUEST YOUR ROOM CLEANED. I've been offered drugs several times, if refunds wouldn't be a issue, I'd definitely be getting one and moving on.
