American Dream Bed and Breakfast - Featured Reviews (288)
Love it, love it, love it. Surpassed our expectations. Very clean. Staff were spot on. The breakfast was as advertised and more, croissants, bagels, fruit, cake, and all leftovers accessible throughout the day. Showers were roomy and always comfortable and clean. We had a private bunk room, dinky but totally adequate. Air con was excellent and a blessing. Central and easily accessible to all of Manhattan, particularly Lower East Side. Great neighborhood deli/grill/convenience stores and some local bars. LOVED IT.
A clean and cozy place to stay at an affordable price. The hostel had generous amenities and a very responsive front desk. It was hot outside but the AC worked like a charm. If I could give 6/5 stars I would.
I really wanted to like this hostel. It was priced well, in a decent location, & had pretty good reviews. Perhaps it was just my room, however the carpet was filthy, the AC unit was very dusty & appeared to be on its last toes - it never seemed to make the room cold & was SO loud & it spat out water - it sounded as if someone was constantly banging pots & pans in your ear. We ended up just opening up the window, which was both quieter & more effective. Not sure when window units were invented, but it must have been the very first model....ever.
Not to mention, there was a large metal bar just above the top bunk which meant anytime I sat up - I would bang my head very hard. I would wake up to use the restroom in the middle of the night, & would have the worst-most painful awakening. I'm shocked this hasn't been a huge issue for the hostel.
The bedframes were shaky, the pillow was very clumpy & hard - just overall a very uncomfortable stay.
That said, everyone was friendly & although I was unable to enjoy the breakfast provided, it did seem plentiful.
My recommendation, if you are able, spend a little more & stay elsewhere. I wish I did.
The value for money is great. My partner and I needed a place to stay for the night and I'm glad we found this hostel. Quiet, clean, nice ac. Breakfast was cereal, berries, oatmeal, toast, etc.
We got in at midnight but the email communication was good so were able to get in to our room and find our keys no problem.
A fabulous base to explore NYC.
Comfortable rooms, great showers, clean bathroom,
Kitchen perfect for cooking a meal. Common area comfortable.
Breakfast had a great selection of fresh food.
I would stay here again on a trip to NYC.
Hostel was old and creaky but very clean. Bunk beds were rickety but held me (5.4, 130lbs) up well. I’d not want to sleep in a bunk bed here if I were taller or heavier. Clean bedding and towels were provided. Bathrooms and showers were clean and plentiful. Other travelers were courteous and many were friendly. Breakfast offerings were sparse but functional enough. Location is excellent!

Highly recommended staying here. Rooms are basic, like you would expect in a hostel, but the hostel is very clean, the location is excellent and the staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is also plentiful with a good range of tasty options.
Great class. All the coaches organize classes to push you but allow you to workout to your level. The workout space is not overcrowded and the environment makes you forget youâre actually running!
I look forward to my body rolling and foot fitness sessions with Melyssa! Her immense knowledge and intuition guide the sessions in a great way. This work is supportive for the long haul; brings awareness, strength and greater mobility. It's become a
One of the best bibimbaps Iâve ever had! Cozy space so there is not a lot of seating, but would get it as take-out if needed. Will definitely go back!
Eko is the best property manager Iâve ever met. He is very reactive and provide service as soon as possible. My 4 months tour in NYC is indispensable without his help.
Tickets were crazy affordable, especially in NYC terms. I went with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. It was wayyy cheaper than going to the movies. They had an amazing line-up and the retro 80s vibes were intimate and chill. Plus the come
Out of all of the Georgian restaurants Iâve been to in Brooklyn and Manhattan, Mealz is the one that exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, not to mention the service was amazing. Overall, the environment was very comforting and friendly
The Ness is the best studio in NYC! Been a very consistent client for the last 6 months

Absolutely love F45 midtown location! The gym is huge and spacious, the equipment in great condition , and the instructors rock. Theyâre always very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to injuries/ substitutions and I feel I get a great workout
Great, fantastic experience. My girlfriend and I came here for the first time during a trip to NYC and it's so great. The location at night in the winter at night was a bit unfamiliar but it's on a main street and near a subway entrance so that's a t
