Amazing place to visit and see bears being bears 🐻 from the safety of a tree house. Amazing staff who is so passionate about educating the public. So exciting to be so close. Got pics of baby bears in a tree just yards away from us. Only drawback was my daughter got a gusher of a bloody nose ( smoke from Canadian wildfires) and they had no simple first aid kit at all. No emergency ice packs for her neck (except a hard one they liberated from their cooler of water for sale) no paper towels- those poor volunteers do without running water and electricity the whole of their internship (for the summer). They were very kind about doing what they could- but that wasn’t much. We had to purchase towels to staunch the blood. The deck might still have her blood on it as no one was cleaning it up. But she was a trooper and didn’t want to miss a chance to see the bears - especially those baby bears! FYI- pee in the ports potties 🚽 in the parking lot - no bathrooms in the tree house.

Was visiting family for a few days. Came here. Loved it! My granddaughter said bear for the first time! And it was a fantastic day being around over 60 American Black Bear. Will definitely come back if ever in the area.

What an incredible experience to be able to see so many bears up close! It was a surprise bringing our kids here. They didn't know what to expect, and they were so amazed! We would definitely come again!

Once you reach the Vince Shute wildlife sanctuary, they bus you to the American Bar Association, where you were able to observe dozens of black bears being fed from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday through Saturdays. The observation deck is an incredible experience to be able to be up close and personal with the Bears while also maintaining a safe and respectable distance. Can’t wait to go back!

This was our first national park on our year long road trip and we loved it. The Ash River Visitors Center was quite small and had a small gift shop and theater. The rangers were very helpful and our kids really enjoyed the Jr. Ranger program. We al

The fried and Cajun walleye are delicious. Kids approved of the spaghetti too (8 & 11). Perfect pour on the beer. The bar was quiet, but it was a Wednesday at 5:30. Service was fast and friendly. Will be back next year when we return to northern MN.
