Highly recommended Amenia Steakhouse located at 4905 Route 44, Amenia, NY 12501-5442. Extremely pleased with this restaurant from start to finish. Greeted upon entering and given a choice of seating. Our waitress, Natalie, was friendly and attentive. She gave us suggestions and checked on us several times during our meal. There was also a waiter who engaged in friendly conversation even though he was not assigned to our table. Ordered a steak and crab leg combo, which he loved. The seafood was fresh and the steak cooked perfectly. while there were several items I could have eaten on the menu, I was in the mood for salad, so I ordered a house salad,a side of vegetables and fries. But within a few minutes of smelling the yummy food I ordered the biggest steak an porterhouse. The salad was a generous size and consisted of a good variety of fresh lettuce and other vegetables The vegetables tasted fresh and were not overcooked. The fries were not greasy, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The dessert menu was huge, so we asked Natalie for some suggestions and ultimately asked her to surprise us. She brought us a piece of the Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake, which was a perfect way to end the meal. Will definitely eat here again when in the area.

I had an excellent rack of lamb. This restaurant is popular for good reason and was busy, but I got seated right away. The wait staff are perfect. They are fast and attentive. My friends had steaks that they reported were excellent as well.

Tough night for the kitchen. Rack of lamb and flank steak were overcooked the first time (ordered medium rare/rare) and the second time they came out raw. We ended up leaving without eating. Lost confidence at that point - It's a shame because it seemed like a great place. Friendly staff and busy bar. We really tried to love the place, but a rough night. French Onion Soup was pretty good, but served in a small bowl not a traditional croc. It was a Sunday...not terribly busy. Waitress said chef would come out to talk to us, but he opted not to bother. That said it all.

Server was delightful, great representative& made experience better. Salad, soup great but our $36.00(#%&*!!) steaks were hard to cut and tougher to eat. Ribbons of grizzle throughout and inedible. Only took off 30% and beverage. Not enough...sad, looked like a fun place 😟

Went in, table was ready. We had reservation so was ready in advance. Pleasant bartender and atmosphere. Attentive waitress, she was very nice and good. Food however was horrible. Appetizers were best part of the meal. The steak was grizzly, not a good cut of meat. The scallops were overcooked, loaded baked potato, let's just say not loaded enough. Vegetables were practically raw. Not worth 43.00 dollars at all. Would not recommend to anyone.

We were on our way back to PA, and stopped here on our way back from Taconic State Park. We have passed by many times and decided to give it a try. We are glad that we did! The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. Wish this place was closer!! Will definitely stop back when we are in the area again!!

We are from Ohio and visiting family. We happened upon this wonderful little steakhouse on Fathers day evening. It was packed and required a reservation but they told us to just let them see if they could find us a table and they did. It was the only empty table in the place. They were understaffed due to a couple call off. But let me tell you I did not care one bit! The staff that was there were amazing. I watched every single employee work their tail off with a smile on their face. They were so friendly and attentive they took empty plates and filled glasses everytime they passed our table. The food was hot, very good and served relatively fast. I will definitely return when we visit this area again. I hope the owner knows what wonderful employees they have. And a special thank you to our waitress Natalie S you were such a bright spot on a very hard day for us.

One of the best place we have ever lunch. we went there after visit Trevor zoo. The staff treat us very kindly. It's a warm place for a family like us. They have a kid menu. The burger we Here very delicious. And the price is very cheap for its quality.
