Amen Corner - Sports bar in Girard - 20 W Main St SE, USA

First off, I don't like to leave a bad review, but this is from my experience today, I haven't been here in probably about 10 years or so.. it used to be a good local restaurant, I ordered pasta and meatballs, and cheese sticks and someone else ordered a black Angus burger, and fries, the pasta wasn't angelhair like I asked for, the sauce was bland, very runny, instead of mozzarella sticks they had provolone sticks that weren't even melted, the burger and fries were just ok.. either meal wasn't even good enough to take home.. so nether the less, no one was happy with the food here.. sorry, just an honest opinion..

First time coming here and from outside it looks very small. We walked into the bar and right behind the bar area is a large dining room and a banquet room. We started off with the sausage stuffed peppers, you get 3 large ones for $8.99. Then I got the soup with my meal and chose the wedding soup. It was very hearty and has great flavor. I got the pork Italiano which was boneless chops covered in their Italian Greens and roasted red pepper in a Sherry wine sauce. For my side I chose eggplant fries. YUMMO! The pork chops were amazing, I would definitely get them again, but… they have such a large menu, I have to try something else next time. My husband got the home made sausage Patty sandwich with peppers, onions and provolone on fresh Italian bread and hand cut fries! He said it was one of the best. He raved about how good the fries were. I’m glad we found this restaurant and plan to frequent it with friends and family

This place has some great food. The pizza and strombolis are all homemade with fresh dough and tons of cheese. They have a great selection of food which we have tried a good assortment of, and it's all really good. It is not the nicest place but it is clean and the dining area is separate from the bar area that you have to walk through to get to. Overall great food and great prices.

At first glance you would think that this is just a small hole in the wall bar but looks are deceiving. The waitress we had was friendly, the menu had plenty to pick from, the portions were more than generous for the price, and everything we ate was very tasty! I had the steak stromboli and sweet potato fries, one kid had a pepperoni roll, and the other had the 10oz steak covered in mushrooms with regular fries and a salad. We had so much food left over! Definitely will be back again!

This was my first time ever at Amen Corner, my bestfriend who is my brides maid in my wedding threw me a bridal shower and Amen Corner is the place we had it. The food was amazing and the help there were the kindest gal's and the room was in the back right through the bar and dining room. I will be going back to try out some other food!

Food was fantastic. Service was friendly and quick. Portion sizes are big and prices are very fair. Five of us stuffed ourselves with leftovers for 3 and an appetizer for $55. The chicken zing was great and the clam chowder was as good as any I've ever had. The peppers in oil seemed like a small portion at first, but 3 of us each had 2 loaded pieces of bread each.

We were from out of state looking for a place to eat other than fast food. The food was very good. The service wasn't bad but the bartender was slow and interested in visiting with local clientele. The build your own burger was amazing and the French fries best I have had in a while

This is the best place to go for a great meal. The staff is always awesome and the food is always fresh and delicious. The Zing Chicken meal is my favorite. Picture shows the Stromboli and the infamous Zing chicken dinner. Enjoy my friends, you won't be let down.
