I came for Indigenous People's weekend and had a blast at the AMC Mohican Outdoor Center! They have various camp sites and cabins near a lake. The cabins were fairly new and very clean, ours had a kitchen and fridge along with a stove and microwave, there is a community bathroom outside their rec center with warm showers and bathroom facilities. The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well as the food was so delicious! I'm not much of a camper but I thoroughly enjoyed my time here! I'd definitely recommend coming here if you're considering a quick camp site visit or a stop on the AT. They also have canoes or kayaks if you want to enjoy the lake. They also gave various fire pits to enjoy at night! Loved my time here!

My friend and I stayed here for 1 night it is set in stunning countryside BUT in a cabin for 4 there were no cups, 1 plate 2 bowls one of which was dirty and mostly plastic cutlery (very environmentally friendly!) There was no blind up at the door so people could see straight in (person at check-in didn't seem to care). There were no chairs to sit at our table, only 1 light was working inside and the shower area was filthy. One gents toilet was blocked and the paper towels had all gone (it was all bloodied and in the bin). I appreciate it's meant to be a rough and ready stop on the Appalachian trail but it was definitely not worth what we paid for it.

I booked this for a friend and myself for the evening after a day at the Camp Crystal Lake Friday 13th set tour to fit in with the theme.||||Trust me - the kids in the movie had a better time.||||We knew we had to bring our own towel and bedding and that the toilets and showera were standard campsite 'shared'but there was no indication that our "cabin" would:||||1. Be part of a duplex with a poorly fitting connecting door.||2. Have a table but no chairs.||3. Have a coffee maker and microwave but no cups or plates or cutlery or no way of washing up.||4. Have no curtain or blind on the (75% clear glazed) door.||5. Be a half mile walk from the car park on a stony track (I am disabled). There was a sign stating words to the effect "Access may be allowed in specific circumstances".||||The shared bathrooms consisted of two showers, two cubicles, one sink and one urinal for all male guests. There were no paper towels apart from the ones with blood on them in the bin.||||By 7pm one toilet was blocked and one shower was filthy. They stayed this way until we left the next morning.||||After checking in and being unimpressed we went to reception and noted the lack of cutlery and plates etc. We were begrudgingly handed disposable versions of all (not great for an eco-styled business). ||||We were told that it was known there was no curtain and it was "on the list" to be fixed but no one had minded before. ||||They seemed surprised we were annoyed there were no chairs.||||I had to virtually threaten a lawsuit to be allowed to park closer to the cabin - despite there being two cars parked outside our cabin already. Being disabled didn't seem to the the right circumstances to normally park nearer.||||Whilst in reception we also noticed that there were two men in the waiting area who had been there when we checked in half an hour earlier. One of them had injured his ankle and they need a cab to their car. The staff wouldn't help them so we drove them in our hire car.||||If it had been cheap we would have made allowances. But it cost more than the *suite* we had in a 4* hotel in DC the night before...||||Too much money, not enough facilities, disinterested staff.||||Lovely location though.

Great place with amazing staff and fantastic facilities. There are some amazing trails to explore and a beautiful lake to swim in at the end of the day before making a fire, making some tea and enjoying the views and sounds of nature, we’ve been back twice and will continue to visit.

Editing again: heard they use glyphosate so we will not be returning! Great place for whole family (including fur babies). Went for a quick hike today and can't wait to come back possibly for camping too. Editing my review: decided to go camping here and was told by Susie we had a spot we could drive up to since the group had 3 toddlers and 2 dogs. When we got there that wasn't the case at all and we had to hike for a while to get there and it was dark out (like 8:30pm). I wanted to just go home after I realized where we had to go but Levi helped the group get situated and the night ended up being really nice. I was cursing out Susie for a while but Levi really saved it. Might come back for camping

Good place for AT hikers to get a quick hot meal. A little pricey. Everyone very friendly. Were running out of food. Need better drink selection for hikers.

I booked a large cabin for a gathering of friends. The place was clean and well stocked, the grounds were beautiful, and the access go hiking and canoeing was a huge bonus. The staff in the lodge were accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back!

My bad. The owner just responded that they are still open. I've been going to the airport and have been missing them. I know I've been there at around 1 to 2 pm but they must have closed early. Owner said they close at 3pm. Excellent place for breakf

Dale’s market is a local legend. They have stellar ground pork, perfect for making sausage gravy; it is the best I’ve found around locally. Their sandwiches are amazing, they will customize for you and have plenty of choices. This store is a hub
