Let me start by saying this was an absolutely excellent experience!! One of the BEST I’ve had in a long time and I stayed at 3 different Marriott properties just in the past week, so I travel way too much!!||Checking in was spot on perfect… Friendly, helpful, explained everything about the property I needed to know, acknowledged my status and offered my perks, etc… It was great!||The room was excellent! A nice, quiet HVAC system that provided great temperature in the room my entire stay! The housekeeping provided daily was excellent too, and I pay attention to the little details – They hit them all! The TV in the room was great as it offered nice, interesting channels and so much selection!! Water pressure and drain in the shower was perfect. Bed comfort was perfect. ||I used the hotel’s restaurant for breakfast and dinner several times during the stay and that was amazing! ||The only issue was self-parking – The lot is very small and tight.||Overall, I loved the place, the grandeur, the beauty, the way they renovated to update and modernize what needed it was all excellent. Definitely highly recommend staying here!

The Ambassador Hotel in Kansas City is a well-designed hotel with a beautiful, small lobby. Parking access is convenient with the hotel's self-park option, which I prefer. My room was large and included a fridge, though it had a view of the parking garage—no big deal since I was there on business. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast in the morning was great. I also heard great things about the amazing jazz club on-site, though I didn't have a chance to visit it. I would definitely stay at this location again when traveling to KC.

Very nice and clean property. Great location near downtown and right by T Mobile Center and P&L district. It's probably the most luxurious hotel we've ever stayed in. Rooms were modern and very clean. Spacious bathroom and shower. Friendly service at the front desk. My wife and daughter enjoyed their breakfast. One weird thing - the fitness center is in the basement directly next to the jazz club....? Very strange location. But overall, a very nice property.

We wanted to love this hotel. It is in a beautiful historic building. However, that is where the charm ends. The staff is incredibly disorganized. When we arrived valet was so backed up that we waited for over 30 minutes for assistance. I had to go find assistance from someone who took my information and then still did not help. I was able to take the luggage to the room and come back and there was still no movement in valet. As a heads-up, no doors are automated in the hotel, so if you use a luggage cart, you’re on your own to figure out how to get them through the doors. At no point did anyone help. They watched but did not offer to help. The front desk staff is slightly more organized, but yet made repeated errors, which had to be corrected. The neighborhood is a challenge. Homeless people are everywhere harassing people on the street, sleeping on the sidewalk, and being a general public nuisance, so be forewarned. Motorcycles and cars rev their engines and race up and down the street until at least 2 in the morning. The hotel knows this is an issue as ear plugs are provided in the room. There are sketchy businesses adding to the overall mess of a neighborhood immediately across the street from the hotel. The Daiquiri Stop played such profane music until the early hours of the morning, it was sickening. When we asked the front desk if the neighborhood was up and coming they laughed and said it was typical downtown. The neighborhood is not safe at all, so do not walk by yourself. While the rooms themselves are fine, we would never stay here again. From the complete lack of service day one in valet to the overall meh attitude of most of the staff, it’s not where we would choose to spend our money. It’s an expensive hotel for what you don’t get, the irritations you have to put up with, and the terrible neighborhood the hotel is in.

Beautiful hotel located in the heart of downtown Kansas City. Devin was an amazing bartender and recommended several sights to see around town. They also have a live jazz restaurant on the Lower level and live music in the hotel restaurant on Saturdays. The rooms were very spacious and extremely clean. There are two towers. The tower located behind the reception desk has a “newer” feel but neither tower is outdated. I will definitively visit again in the future.

Had the manager reach out in an email asking about my experience. I responded back to them and let them know my concerns. Never heard back from them, I again emailed them back to see if they got my first email, and again no response. Biggest complaint was that I paid for valet service, not sure where my car was parked, but when I got it in the morning it was covered in bird poop and even had broken eggs on it. Hotel manager didn't respond or do anything to make this right.

Despite the unfortunate feedback from recent guests, let me assure you, being a loyal Marriott supporter through the years, that this is truly a top-notch hotel, worthy of the Autograph Collection name. While I will agree that the the surrounding area is in need of help from the city, do not let that deter you from enjoying this classy and unique hotel. I must acknowledge the impeccable service from all the staff I had the pleasure of meeting, starting with Michael, a true gentleman and an asset to The Ambassador and the hospitality industry as a whole. His supporting cast must also accept my praise, J and Q (the "letter girls" as I call them) were such a delight and Q is the best night auditor on the planet. Mr. Coury has built an impressive portfolio and I enjoyed watching his documentary in my room detailing his years of work in this great field and I compliment him and his team on providing a level of service that is above and beyond all expectations. Keep up the good work, team!

Small but impeccably decorated facility. Service was good, especially around the front desk. Rooms are nicely kept. Lobby is fantastic, gives you the palace and royal feel. I would call attention to food choices; most of the items are deep-fried and those that are not still have lots of oil. I recommend a balance with some healthy options. Overall lovely stay.
