AMBASSADOR HOTEL - Hotel in Wilmington - 817 N Fries Ave, USA

It was horrific! Saw the pictures online and prices and seemed decent BUT was horribly mistaken. I was so tired from our travels that I figured I would give the hotel a try. They put us in a room with construction in the next suite. It was honestly so loud ! I didn’t understand why they would put a guest in that room (room 208)Also Upon arrival I let them know one bed was broken and no one came until the second call I had to make in the late afternoon.(at that point we didn’t want it fixed we were so tired we just carefully slept our children on there so it wouldn’t finish breaking)The other bed in the room was not a mattress ,it was 2 box springs stacked on each there. It was so uncomfortable.didn’t sleep well at all. Had to shower with sandals on and had to sanitize entire room with my own products. The only good thing I can say was a receptionist in the later afternoon (I didn’t catch her name ,she wore glasses and was just coming back from vacation herself) was very kind and attentive. She seemed to want to help with any troubles we had. She was not able to change our room but She was able to have the workers reduce the noise level and brought a clean towel.

I feel the need to write this review although I have written one before this. You see, I stayed at the ambassadors hotel Over 8 years ago, and out of curiosity I decided to look up any possible reviews. I sometimes wonder, was it just me or have others had a run of horrible luck at this hotel as well. And upon reading certain reviews please be warned, that this hotel is not safe. Putting aside the dangerous clientele. The assistant manager lily, is of unsavory character herself. Atleast in my opinion. And why the owner keeps her employed there makes me suspicious of him also. I won’t go into every detail of what happened to me. I’ll just discuss the most disturbing incident. I went to bed and the following morning I awoke with a blue dot on my forehead. It seems to be permanent and my main problem with this is not so much why? But what exactly happened to me that I am unaware of during the night. Because I have no recollection of anyone coming into my room and so I can’t give any logical reason as to what happened to me. Just please be forewarned and beware. And to this day, even 8 years later, the mark remains on my forehead.

I moved out my nice apt due to domestic vioence and found myself calling 211 Los Angeles for assistance but all the shelters were full, having just a limited income of EDD unemployment I was looking for a cheap hotel to stay at. This was the most reasonable one I could find. The neighborhood is real real bad, there was no TV so I just look out my window everynight where there is alot of entertainment, gun shots all night, fires, gangs, fights, drugs deals and people arguing all night from my window view. I just turn off my lights and look out the window. There is a shower and restroom in the hallway that you share with everyone else in the building. It's not comfortable, most of the people are on SSI mentally ill, drug addicts or people down on their luck who just had no where else to go. The price was right but I fear for my life in this neighborhood and I don't dare go outside at night. Plenty of fast food places to eat near by and a Food 4 less across the street is helpful but not worth it, if you have some extra money go somewhere else. This is the last resort place to go but hey it's here for those of us going through a crisis and dont' have much money. There is a locked room with a bed and faucet and a window to look out of and that's about it.

The owner doesn't care about tenants rights because he have not give me 24 hour notice to let me know he have his crew working in top roof and his maintenance crew damage my satellite from DirecTV. Ambassador Hotel is not a good place to rent because the owner will ruin your life and as for assistant manager Lily is not taking care responsibilities safety of the tenants and assistant manager Lily is responsible take care of cleaning the bathroom but unfortunately she does not clean the community bathroom in the bathroom is so filthy fill with germs. I advise you do not rent Ambassador Hotel because the owner and assistant manager will ruin your life and one more it is ridiculous I truly believe is a violation to have room check every month. Oh I forgot one more thing Ambassador Hotel is a dangerous place to live and you will not have no support from assistant manager Lily or the owner.

If your looking for a place to end your life then this is the place. My wife and I stayed there as a low cost last resort. It's not a HOTEL in the modern sense of the word. It's just a place to shack up until you can find a better place to live. It's no frills in every sense of the word!!!! You can pay by the week (about $160.00) or you can pay by the month (about $640.00) What do you get for your money? You get to share a bathroom with 60 other people that live on the same floor you do because there are no bathrooms or showers in any of the rooms. There is a kitchen on the second floor for you to cook you dinner with the 200 other people that live in the building. Good luck with that!!! There are many places(Hope your Spanish is good) to go out and eat but Wilmington, California is not the kind of place you want to be after dark. Rough neighborhood if your not Latino.Bueno Suerte! Also if you have a complaint don't expect to get any help from the manager. Usually the management is not the HELPFUL kind of people you'd expect. You'll get better service from the roaches that climb your walls.||||As you enter the halls and climb the stairs you sense an overwhelming feeling of impending doom, isolation, loneliness and despair that can be only found in this country's worst prisons. GUESS WHAT? That's who your neighbors will be. The former populace of the penal system. RAPISTS, CONVICTS, DRUG DEALERS, CHILD MOLESTERS AND WIFE BEATERS. OH HAPPY DAYS!!! :D The smell of puke, crack and marijuana filling the air throughout the building lets you know that your in the wrong neighborhood. Children that are unwanted by their parents run around without supervision. The children are usually hungry and unwashed. Best of all the parents don't give a [--] about them. It's the HOTEL that HELL FORGOT!!! Not even the devil would stay there.

Every tenants pay monthly difference and every month there room check. Landlord Richard Lance Biano is taken advantage low income tenants and his assistant manager Lily not taken care of responsibility cleaning bathroom and shower and kitchen totally fifty and Lily holds tenants mail and her son Robert sale legal drugs. As for his maintenance man dose a lousy job on plumbing and never post it or inform tenants water will be shut off. Now the rent is $640.00 plus deposit $640.00 this ridiculous for small room and I was paying $600.00 and the owner Richard Lance Biano is taken advantage because he raised the rent up to $645.00 and the same year he raised my rent to $676.00 and this year 2018 he reduce my rent $661.00. But for the new tenants to move in is $640.00 plus deposit $640 that total $1,280.00 in this year 2018. This owner is taken advantage to the old tenants and to the new tenants. The owner is taken advantage and get away with it..... his name is Richard Lance Biano and his assistant manager Lily. This owner is taken advantage on low income tenants and his assistant manager Lily and both harassed and threatened tenants. Reason I'm here because I'm on a fix income but the owner Richard Lance Biano need to be reported because every tenants are paying difference rent every month and we shouldn't have room check every month because tenants should have the right to live comfortable but unfortunately there is to much anxiety and depression and stress. The Ambassador hotel my advice don't rent this hell hold because the owner Richard Lance Biano is taken advantage to all tenants and his assistant manager Lily both will ruin your life. I don't know how to fight this and every tenants are afraid to do anything about it. Once again do yourself a favor don't move to Ambassador hotel 817 N. Fries ave. Wilmington, California 90744. I hope someone let authorities know about the owner Richard Lance Biano is taken advantage of the tenants and his assistant manager Lily

Richard lance biano needs to follow proper eviction protocols via the of California. He and manager lily keep telling my dad to pay up or move . my dad has altzheimers and will not be residing there. However both richard and lily may want to file their eviction and follow the process for the state of California. Should this not happen and mr codd does not get his proper eviction notice and go through proper procedures then the ambassador with its owner will be facing a very, very hefty lawsuit.

I lived there for a year,over a year ago.The owner is shady.I got a piece of mail that was opened and the manager said the owner did it.When I was there he illegally evicted people,including me.I had bed bugs.The health dept was over there on more than one occasion.There WERE a few good things about it that I remember,like my rent going down after being there a few months
