Ambassador Chicago - JDV by Hyatt - Hotel in Chicago - 1301 N State Pkwy, USA

This was a trip to the Chicago Marathon which my hubby was partaking in! We booked the Ambassador through our reliable agent Jamie! And it did not disappoint! We stayed 6 nights!|This hotel oozes old school, boutique, and sophistication. |Check in was painless, we were a party of 4 with 2 separate bookings, perhaps one receptionist was more helpful that the other But let's just tell the story once! |So our room was a double ensuite, nice bathroom and closet. Really airy TV and little desk which was cool|Staff were so so helpful, gym is downstairs which also includes a water machine and also on one of the floors is an ice machine|We didn't take the option of breakfast but you can pay for breakfast in the morning. Coffee is also free in the morning in the bar area. |We ate in the dinner 1 night, food was good but alcohol is expensive! |The hotel is located just round the corner from CVs and Starbucks And there is a Target just a few blocks down!|The stand out thing about this hotel is Location Location Location! It's a fab neighbourhood!|It's 2 blocks from Navy Pier and also the little beach towards Navy Pier. |It's also walking distance to Mag Mile, I often did the walk down town on my own in the evening and it's so safe and welcoming! |Overall it's five out of five perfect location for Chicago!| Perfect location for the marathon as you can get the L to within walking distance of the start of the marathon! |And perfect location for shopping! |Can't wait to return! |

Perfect location. Nice property with historic interest. Wonderful city. Enjoyed everything through and through.Walkable to a lot of restaurants, bars, shops. Not too long a walk to the north side of Michigan Avenue. Great neighborhood feel while tied closely to the city.

There was barely anyone else staying at the hotel, yet there was no hot water. They said this is a known issue during the slow season. Area was quiet and felt safe. Employees were nice. Room was cute, but the beds and furniture are very low to the floor. Not a problem for us, but definitely could be for others. We were fortunate that there were few people staying at the hotel because the walls were thin and you could hear everything.

Miss Hoai at the front desk went above and beyond to get us an awesome room!|So far so good. The view is awesome and the room is great. We booked under a third party and upon arrival the reservation had not been placed by them. She went out of her way to get us to the perfect room.

I stayed here a year ago and I still think about it. I stayed for 3 days and had the best sleep. I thought it was just me but my friend said the same thing. The beds were so comfy. The staff was incredibly the nice and helpful. The location is in Gold Coast. It was super easy to walk to places or take the L. Cannot recommend it enough.

Ambassador Hotel Chicago is the place to go. It's been a pleasant stay for the new year. Everyone I encountered here was gracious. My room was warm and cozy with minimal outside noise. Excellent beds and bedding! World of Hyatt has done a wonderful job restoring this heritage property.

Per reading the reviews I was a little skeptical but decided to give them a try. Glad I did hotel was in a nicer area. The beds are low to the floor but still comfy & clean. The chair in the room was dirty. The curtains were a little stained. The air wasn’t a thermostat but attached to the wall & wouldn’t work or shut off. I was very cold. Nice breakfast spot around the corner. Overall I wouldn’t stay more than 1 night.

Great hotel is amazing location! We stayed here for our daughters birthday and they pulled out all the stops for her. Easy walking distance to Lincoln Park zoo and many restaurants. Very safe to walk around in this historical part of Chicago.
