2 stars for the convenience
1 star for the employees, they are doing the best they can and are friendly
My issues are as follows: the sandwhich shop is constantly unavailable. The excuses range from "we do not have the correct bread" to no one being available to take the order.
The pizza counter has been good except once when they actually just gave me a raw pizza to take home. If i could give a half star, I would, but I am not feeling generous. The pizza was raw raw.
Inventory is rarely stocked, which sometimes makes it a challenge to one-stop shop. And when i shop, I expect this.
I hope they figure out these issues because if they do, the store is fire.
I have a serious problem with Amazon Fresh stores. Let me first say that I love the concept and also to be able to walk in and out with just a palm swap, but things have gotten worse recently.
Their system makes mistakes all the time. My receipts from every other visit to Amazon Fresh stores have at least one mistake on them. That's an accuracy rate of only 50%.
Here are some examples: I was waiting in the prepared foods department and happen to be standing in front of a stack of paper towels, I was charged for them. I was waiting in line for package delivery and return window and happen to be next a stack of cookies, I was charged for them. If I pick up an item to read the ingredients, there is a good chance that 80% of the time, I get charge for it, even when I put it back right away. I have many such examples.
In my experience Amazon Fresh Stores make an error 50% of the time. That’s every other visit, sometimes, every visit.
In the past, I’d get home after the purchase and look at my Amazon order on that day and if I found any errors, I’d simply select the option for a refund. The system would automatically remove that item from the receipt. Considering that Amazon Fresh Stores are still a work in progress, Amazon’s handling of their mistakes has been stellar until recently.
In my past 2 visits to the Amazon Fresh stores, the system made a mistake on each visit and when I tried to select the refund option for those items that I had not taken, the system refused and asked me to call customer service. Customer service calls take at least 20 minutes. Considering the unreliability of Amazon’s in store item tracking, the fact that now they want us to spend 20 to 30 mins on the phone with customer service after each visit is preposterous.
Until this matter is resolve I will not shop at Amazon Fresh Stores anymore.
Now that is an experience - More cameras hanging from the ceiling than I have ever seen. Looks like a lot of tech to maintain and maybe go wrong. Anyways, the store was really nice and the employees were very pleasant and helpful. I'll be back.
Awesome experience. All you need to do is link your Amazon account and scan your left and right palm your first time. You can also do a qr code on your phone. After that just grab a bag which are in every isle and load it up. Once you're done, just scan your palm to exit! No wait times and Amazon knows exactly what you put in your bags or cart. The produce looks extremely fresh and has a great selection.
My first time at Amazon fresh. Not that exciting as I thought I was.. except no line at the check out counter. Still figuring out how to retrieve my shopping list. The lady said I should be getting an email showing all the items I bought. But no email of the list except a thank you email. I would like to know if I was charged correctly.
It's nice to just grab your stuff and leave, but it sucks not to know what the bill is for 4 hours. Also, the deli is rarely ever open. I've tried 3 times to get deli meat, and they were closed. Last time, I asked the guy working behind the counter if the deli had specific hours, and he couldn't give me a straight answer.
I had to make a return. They made my return easy. Then I decided to go shopping. I had not shopped at Amazon fresh before. I like it. I will definitely be back.
This is a state of the art store. With hundreds of cameras following you around as you shop. Thousands of items to choose from. Everything looks so fresh. A true experience of what the future of shopping might end up being like. We were cold during our shopping experience. I wasn't so much because I'm from Michigan but my cousin zipped quickly through the store she was freezing she said.
When someone asks me to make some good Mac and cheese, this is my go to place for cheese. They ALWAYS have an awesome assortment of different cheese. Thank you.
