Such a cute place for a short and sweet hike!!! A little hidden gem! There is plenty of space for parking, and I recommend parking here if you want to hike to the Sussell Park Trailhead and lake, which is nice to hike to from the Arboretum. There are plants and pots for sale close to the entrance. There is a cute Children’s Forest trail that is short and worth walking through. I would love to come back again!

We arrived at the Arboretum for a Dog Event. We enjoyed a pleasant stroll by stands and petting of pups. We were pleasantly surprised by the Arboretum as we didnt know of is existence. We learned that it is sponsored by Green Allies but essentially used by several high schools for students to run it and planning of events for learning experience. We plan to return to explore the trails. They already have a children's garden and a pond deeper on the property which they plan to use for wetlands education.If your into yoga Wednesday evening they have outdoor yoga.
This place has something for everyone and for us it was the ponds down at Sussel Park as well as the creek trail.
My sister and my nieces and a bunch of others came to this creative large intertwined trail network. woodchips for trails and a bunch of jungle gym type things and kiosks for kids maybe ages 4-9. many horticulture tags on most of your common prized country garden perrenials and "in progress" volunteer projects. mini ponds. we stayed for an hour and a half on a fine sunny day.
The owners have done a great job rejuvenating the area and taking care of the property. The events are family friendly and fun, and there's always something going on. Like most parks, it's open sun up to sun down, and is a nice quiet place to take your children to play and explore.
We had a nice family hike through the woods here. I was surprised by how long the trails were. They have a farmers market once a month that looks to have some nice vendors, but it is during the work week. We will be back when the weather is cooler for another hike.
