This place feels like home, relaxing and easy-going. It lives up to its name (DELICIOUS). The food warms your heart and fills your belly. The Middle Eastern hospitality adds to the wonderful atmosphere. If you’re looking for authentic Middle Eastern breakfast, this is the place.

TLDR : Reminds me of my Teta in Lebanon making me breakfast, each bite is better than the last 🇱🇧 Wow, where do I start… The service is top notch. Our waiter quickly seated us and was so attentive he brought things for us we were whispering about. No task was too small as he was proud to see our time spent here was similar to eating at his own house. The ambiance follows suit of being clean and organized. Perfect lighting and many windows for natural sunlight. I loved being able to see the sun shine across my plates and through the restaurant. The food was out of this world. All prepared fresh and brought to us quickly. In a matter of minutes food was brought to our table and was piping hot. To clarify, piping hot from the stove top, not the heat lamp. The vegetables that accompanied the dishes were all freshly cut and chilled but I have to point out the pickles. They are to die for on that veggie platter! The hummus, immaculate; the eggs with sujok, sensational; the fuul, WOW! This was my first time but I promise you, not my last!

I've heard about AlTayeb for years. Finally decided to try it with family members for the first time a few weeks ago. I was absolutely impressed and this restaurant exceeded my expectations. I went back a few more times that same week because I was already craving their food. I live an hour away and the drive each time was absolutely worth it. If I lived close to this restaurant, I would be having breakfast here every morning before work. Food: The food is fresh, flavorful, and has good quality. The taste immediately transformed me back to when I was living in the Middle East. There is a large variety of hummus and foul dishes as well as egg dishes and appetizers. Everything looks like it was made freshly and they are very generous with their portions. Service: Every time I went, our server was Sarah. Sarah made the experience even better with her patience, hospitality, and kindness. She did a good job with explaining to us the dishes/ingredients we did not understand. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy and packed during our visit, the service was super quick and the food was served quickly as well. Location/Atmosphere: The atmosphere is great at AlTayeb. It was a welcoming place overall. It feels like your typical local restaurant in the Middle East with mostly families dining. The atmosphere is so welcoming, you can clearly tell everyone had a great time. The only thing to note is that because the restaurant is packed during peak hours, seats inside the restaurant are taken up quickly and the parking lot was packed. We had to park our cars in the nearby residential streets along with many other cars and we walked to the restaurant. This was not a big deal for my family and friends but may be important to note for elderly, little kids, and those who experience difficulty with walking/mobility. The entire experience was 10/10. Overall, I highly recommend AlTayeb for great, authentic, and fresh Middle Eastern/Lebanese food.

Always impressed by this place... came back after nearly 4 years from the last visit and things were awesome .... dinning area is bigger now, food was awesome, genuine and tasty. Great service and super clean restaurant 👌 Highly recommend 👌

Most authentic Lebanese breakfast. There are endless bakeries and restaurants in the Metro Detroit that offer food of the Levant area; however, there only few that offer breakfast only dishes area and none offers this much variety nor does it as good as this place. It is simply a treat. I usually critique a restaurant on the food, decor, cleanliness, and service; however, this is a casual breakfast/lunch place and not a 5 star restaurant so bear that in mind. Expect a clean place with friendly staff, good service, and excellent food. This place is simply a Treat.

Our server, Ahmed, stole the show. What a fantastic fellow. We stopped over hungry for sustenance during a road trip. He recommended the Fül, Hummus, Spicy potatoes, Moroccan coffee and Orange Juice. When I tell you I’ve been having Lebanese food wrong my whole life before this moment. He engaged us in hilarious conversation, was passionate about the food and overall gave fantastic quick service. The food was phenomenal. Shout out to the hummus that I devoured.

The nostalgic authenticity of the dishes made with fresh ingredients is unmistakable. If you’re looking for a treat of small dishes family style, this is it. Sample a variety of items, bring an appetite and prepare to be amazed. Our server Ahmed was knowledgeable, attentive, and ready to answer questions as well as offer suggestions. We completed our breakfast with a cup of hot black tea - the perfect finish. Highly recommend.
