I ordered the beef shawarma and it was delicious. I asked what they had on the menu that was gluten and dairy free and the reply was "The only thing on the menu that can be dairy and gluten free is... everything!" The food can have gluten and dairy too, but it was nice to go somewhere with such a large variety of options available to my way of eating!

This is a cute cute restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The owner is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. The food is so delicious! I have not had anything yet that I didn’t want to eat again. My favorite craving right now is the taste of Nicaragua. The empanadas at AltaVita are fantastic! The owner is so great about customizing and substituting if you have allergies or restrictions. there are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. There are also plenty of options that are not vegetarian or vegan. This quickly became my favorite place in town.

Amazingly fresh food. Gentleman working there could not have been nicer. Varied menu lots of choices. Had the shawarma sandwich but in a wheat wrap was so light fresh and tasty. The sauce was amazing. My wife had the Greek salad huge portion and super fresh. Totally great spot.

The food is amazing -- the garlic fries are beyond amazing. We loved all three meals we had that day. The owner made us feel like family. The decor is quaint and inviting. It is a very friendly and busy place to eat. Take the time to enjoy a good meal with amazingly fresh and healthy ingredients. Please make sure to visit and eat your next meal at the Altavista Restaurant!

We came here because family recommended it to us from their great experience. The food was amazing! We loved that they had so many satisfying plant based options with tons of flavor. The service was great and the atmosphere is perfect. So glad we have a good plant based/vegan/vegetarian restaurant option in town.

The food was amazing, with so many vegan options! I had the Taste of Costa Rica, and it was delicious! The downstairs cafe where we ate was warm and inviting. The owner or manager (not sure which he was) who waited on us was friendly and accommodating. Even though we arrived close to closing time, he welcomed us in and did not rush us at all. I highly recommend Altavita to anyone looking for a great meal and a comfortable atmosphere, and if you're looking for vegan options, you can not beat this place!

Idaho Falls NEEDS THIS PLACE!!! They have limitless dairy free & Gluten free options. Healthy/delicious lunch & dinner options & made from scratch. Small, locally owned.. every time I come in, the owner is so friendly & kind. The restaurant is designed so beautifully. I would rate this place 10 stars if I could.

This restaurant is the Sister cafe to A Healthier Place to Eat in Pocatello, Idaho, and both the hospitality and the food here are equally delicious! Ramon is the owner, and he and his Brother-in-Law treated us like family! The Vegan veggie and cheeze Empañadas are the absolute BEST with the perfect outside crunch, served with a generous portion of greens and chopped tomatoes. The Falafel wrap is divine, as is the Cashew Burger. My absolute FAVORITE though has got to be the fries! Unlike most fries, theirs do not have preservatives and junk on them, and you can absolutely taste the delicious difference. They are served freshly cut and cooked, and are the best we've ever eaten! The Cookies-and-Cream brownies will delight your taste buds and make you smile! The downstairs has a fantastic seating area and offers a comfortable and quaint space for relaxing and enjoying the company of friends and family, or doing a quick bit of work with the excellent wifi service. Oh, and be sure to have a glass of their delicious lemonade with your meal. You will want to visit Altavita and return again and again! Be sure to tell Ramon The Price Family from Texas sent y'all!
