We had a wonderful four day visit to the Rustler Lodge - very lucky to have early season snow. So many great things about the lodge: delicious and varied food (merlot ice cream!), happy hours with fondue and oysters, welcoming staff, beautiful outdoor hot tub and pool. It was perfect for our group of 12. The Rustler is the best lodge in the valley - good value for the high price you pay. Our room had a nice view - basic but had all of the amenities we needed and daily housekeeping.
My husband and I just returned from my son’s wedding being hosted at the Rustler’s Lodge in Alta Utah. Although the lodge is known for its winter lodging and hospitality to skiers, it was an exceptional experience for us last weekend. My new daughter in law and son chose this beautiful location because they loved the idea that the entire lodge and staff were there to make this past weekend the wedding of their dreams. The lodge did not disappoint them, any of their family or guests. Although the lodge is only open for private events during their off seasons they didn’t miss a beat making the weekend so very special. Everyone of their staff from management down to the waitstaff and housekeeping were so very pleasant and helpful. At check in we were greeted by a gentleman that helped with luggage and assisted my daughter and grandchildren to find their way down to the pool. We later found out this Jeff, the owner, and we’re deeply impressed by his hands on management style. Trying to keep up with the scheduled activities while enjoying their facilities was accomplished with the help and suggestions of everyone there. They provided free shuttles to the nearby Octoberfest that gave our guests the opportunity to stay busy during their free time. Other guests enjoyed hiking throughout their beautiful grounds taking in the breathtaking view and abundant wildflowers that were in full bloom. |Their food service was excellent and provided options that satisfied even the pickiest of eaters including our 6 year old grandson and 4 year old granddaughter. |I highly recommend this lodge to anyone who would like to host a private event located in the Salt Lake City region during their lovely “off ski season”.
Alta's Rustler Lodge is always one of my favorite trips. Besides being at the foot of Alta ski area, the food and hospitality is top notch. The staff is very accommodating to make your stay a memorable event. My wife loves the spa as much as I crave the skiing and never turns down an opportunity to visit again.
Unparalled service, thoughtful amenities, great food, and impeccably clean. Add to that the convenience of getting there from SLC (there is an easy shuttle) and the ease of its mountain-side location for ski-in/ski-out, the Rustler Lodge is in a league of its own.
We had our sons wedding at Rustler Lodge. Everything went so smooth, staff and management was incredible. Polite and attentive. The grounds were beautiful for September. Daisies and waterfalls. Just beautiful. Great food, Fun Bar,and service was prompt..What a spectacular view. The rooms were great, with all amenities. Bedding was excellent. They have a heated pool and Jacuzzi. Breakfast buffet was great. Everything spotless. Valet and parking available. Surprisingly affordable. They are now open for Weddings.. Thank you loads for a wonderful experience.
I attended a wedding at the Lodge and was amazed by the level of service from the entire staff. They were actually very happy that we were there and showed it by welcoming us and attending to us. ||One person in particular stood out to me. Molly, she never stopped smiling for the time that we were there! I noticed her trimming a wild flower which had overgrown the walkway that the bride would be walking past. She was trimming the flower because she didn't ant the pollen to get on the brides dress! That level of care was shown by all of the staff as well.||Tip: several of the staff are full time residents. Some of them for a very long time, so remember that you are in their house and be kind and respectful. It will pay dividends.
Sheets are so very soft! Rustler's Lodge is a skiers lodge! Forgot to bring "real shoes" so went to the dining room in my ski socks and made friends with an 8 yr old boy, also in socks sans shoes, having dinner with his family. The food is over the top delicious and a menu with endless entree choices. The wait staff (all skiers of course) are attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and full of personality!
We had a great time at Rustler Lodge! The staff, especially those who worked in the lobby and dining areas, were just superb. Couldn’t have been nicer, or more friendly and attentive. We plan to return next year!
Such an awesome and quick hike. Go as early as you can as people start arriving in droves. The lake is little and peaceful. Itâs a nice spot to spend a few hours. Iâve been up here during fall and winter and I love both times. Highly recommend
Just a tremendous place. I have probably been here 15 out of the last 20 years, and I never fail to enjoy myself. It has some of the most Varied terrain of any ski area Iâve been at. Champagne powder. A skiers Paradise.
