Wonderful experience at Alta Pizzeria & Pasta House, 380 S. Poplar St. Hazleton, Pa on December 15, 2023. The group that I was with were warmly welcomed by the very friendly staff. The food was really delicious, hot where appropriate and appealing in presentation. Their chicken soup was amazing and generously provided in a bowl. We all loved the bread used for our sandwiches. So soft and fresh. My friend ordered the Panino Cilentana that kept me drooling. I had a wonderful pepper, egg and cheese sandwich as I wanted a hot meal. The fries were some of the best I've ever had. I couldn't believe how much value was provided in 2023 terms. This is a real gem in Hazleton's eating scene. Check out the photo of the two chefs, heroes of the kitchen who made us such a great lunch! I told them we're going to put Alta Pizzeria and Pasta House on the map! I highly recommend! Note: Their patio looks fund to hang out on. Summer cannot come again soon enough! Like the photos and review!

Wow! This is the first I have been here… Best Italian I’ve had in PA. The Sausage Pizza gives the New York vibe, the Penne Alla Vodka was truly outstanding! Definitely going back for more. The service was fantastic and the owner was super nice. Definitely a new customer!!

A meal with family is a success when the food is delicious, but so much better when the service is family like. I was visiting and when I get back to Hazelton this is the only place I'm taking family to dinner. Atmosphere may not be five stars for everyone but I thought so. Happy 31st Anniversary!!

Absolutely no hands down the best Dante and his family and all of his employees do a fantastic job first rate first quality everything is fresh and fantastic! Thank you so much look forward to seeing you at Easter.

EDIT: They did not charge me for my order (either to make things right, or because they were disorganized -- nobody mentioned anything, and I didn't push). How much leeway do you give a place on Christmas Eve? What about if people are depending on you, but you are depending on Alta? Then you're screwed. It is coming up on 60 minutes that I have been waiting on a scheduled pickup order. These people are so disorganized and overworked, it's amazing they can COOK any food, let alone sell it. The quality is only fair and declining steadily. I will never go again. Merry Christmas.

If I could leave 0 stars I 100% would. I ordered 2 pasta plates over the phone for pick up. The worker said it would be ready in 35 mins which was totally fine with us. My husband goes & pays for the food, they said to wait 4 mins, instead he had to wait an extra 30 mins to receive the food. While he was waiting he witnessed the workers eating out of a customers delivery order & they just covered it & packed it up to go, that’s disgusting. Then he asked for his order & they said to wait an extra 10 mins after the 30 mins had passed by already, so an hour & change in total to wait for a PICK UP order. At this point, he was tired of waiting, he said if it wasn’t ready to just give him his money back so he could go elsewhere. The guy in the front was completely rude as if we weren’t paying customers that waited over an hour for food, human decency goes a long way. I will NEVER again order from here. We’re afraid to eat these meals cause who knows how they treated our food.

I ordered an XL pizza with salami, black olives and spinach. The pizza was so large, it didn't quite fit into the box. The toppings were more abundant than any pizza I have ever ordered. It was delivered on time and warm. VERY SATISFIED with my first experience here.

I ordered a pie from the app slice, it was suppose ro be pepperoni and sausage and they gave me a pie with all that extra pepperoni and that made it too spicy and greasy could not eat it. Next time give me what I ordered.
