Alta Motor Lodge Motel - Motel in South Salt Lake - 1899 State St, USA

It's pretty basic in what is offered, but basic is generally all I need. They have basic Antenna tv, but the T.Vs are smart so you can always plug in your Roku or Firestick. It is an old motel so some allowances have to omitted. Besides the paper thin walls, it's a cheap and comfortable stay. You get what you pay for.

I guess it wasn't to bad based on location and the price but the rooms are very small and DIRTY. I wanted to take a shower but couldn't get myself to stand in the shower stall. I had my black light with me and did a little bit of checking. The bathroom not clean, the bed want prepared with ckesn sheets or bedspread. The curtains even showed spots of what I can only guess was blood splatter from a IV drug user, or another bodily fluid. I was unable to get comfortable enough to sleep. The whole reason for the room was to get a good night's rest, because of the poor cleaning the money spent to sleep was completely wasted. Needless to say my experience here sucked and I will NEVER stay here again. I do want to give credit where credit is due.. The customer service was spot on. Friendly and knowledgeable. The man working the front desk was awesome. Thank you for the awesome customer service.

The owner is so nice!! He gave me a really nice room and he provided great service. I know it's in a bad neighborhood, but as long as you stay to yourself and don't interact with the bad people that hang around outside, your fine. I definitely give this place 5 stars. My room is pretty, I have a air conditioner, and my shower has really good hot water. It's everything I need in a room. :)

Decent place to stay. The rooms are okay for the price. Nothing over the top. The shower was a bit small and low water pressure. Had tv with a few channels to choose from. One big issue was the only outlets was for the tv. No additional ones by the bed or other walls for a lamp or charging a phone. The owner was nice and the guy who cleans the rooms was very friendly and took pride in what he did.

Stayed for couple weeks.. It was okay.. Had microwave and fridge put in a few days into our stay.. Which was a very good thing.. All in all had no trouble.. Good maintence, no drama from neighbor's, but like any other motel on state st few cops occasionally throughout the day..

I have never been so discussed in my life. 50 a night. No TV seriously. No hot water. No Towels. Sink drains into cabinet underneath. Dirty blankets for curtains. The heater is covered in an inch if black grunge. Light fixtures hanging from bare wires. I wouldn't even consider sitting on the bed. They won't let you post zero stars.

This place is kickback just make sure that u avoid SPOTLIGHTING your room with a lot of noise and or door traffic..Dave the main dude will be on top on anything if your attracting negativity but they pretty cool here.quiet most time. Direct TV. & just remodeled office ...treat me how u want me to treat u laid back atmosphere..would recommend especially if hard to find a kick back warm chill spot.. thanks Alta motel

Owner is a kind and welcoming man. Always ready to assist. The grounds leave much to be desired with constant foot and vehicle traffic. Drugs are everywhere. Theft is rampant.
